That is exactly what I did with it.
Yes, it will work if you mean 2 awg rather than 2/0.
Yes, it is possible to use it in this manner. It's a straightforward metal block with a variety of connections. It doesn't point in any particular direction.
Although I see no reason why not, I would not use it.
Selected User Reviews For Rockford Fosgate RFD4 1/0 AWG 4 AWG Distribution Block - Platinum
I own and have owned a number of Rockford Fosgate amplifiers over the years, and their products have always provided me with excellent quality and durability. They're also underrated, with more power than the specifications indicate. It's the same with this item! The extra money spent on these distribution blocks is well worth it. the ones that are available for a lower price They are substantial in weight and attractive in appearance. I was having engine noise issues, and it turned out that the car installation pro who installed my two Rockford Fosgate amplifiers had grounded my two wires on a bolt from the back seat of my 2003 GMC Sierra, which was painted black. Not only that, but he had shortened my 0 gauge power and ground wires to fit my 2 amps' smaller openings. I bought two of them and re-sold one of them. After reducing 0 gauge to 4 gauge wire through these distribution blocks, I wired my amps, and the connections are now solid. I also removed the two ground wires from the painted ground surface and sanded the paint down to metal on that spot, and now my speakers are free of engine noise and my stereo sounds fantastic. Spend the extra cash on a product of this caliber. You will not be disappointed.
This is an excellent distribution block of high quality. If you're running a lot of amps, this is a must-have. I would recommend this product over the cheaper alternatives because of the speed with which it was delivered. I bought another brand a while ago, and the terminals eventually backed out, allowing the wires to come undone, which could have been fatal. This will take its place. The connections between the terminals appear to be much more reliable.
This was purchased to replace an old Kicker distribution block whose plastic cover had broken after probably ten years of use. I would strongly recommend the Rockford Fosgate because it appears to be of higher quality.
Excellent craftsmanship. The plastic cover is extremely attractive, and the materials used are of excellent quality.
To help with power and ground distribution, I installed two of these in my 1998 Cadillac DeVille. They perform admirably and also have a stylish appearance. They come highly recommended from me.
Pros: The block is a solid piece of metal in its own right. There are no fuses or low-cost plastic screws; everything is made of metal. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. I know the flimsy top cover will break sooner or later because the base is made of cheap plastic. br>br>However, even if the base and cover break, the block should still work, and I'll find a way to cover it so I don't get shocked. This block should last a long time, in my opinion.
But, for the price, everything is of good quality and fits in nicely with the rest of the line.
