I had already tried cleaning the head with alcohol, and tried tapping it on all six sides, but the video still appeared with the six gray bars. It was reluctantly purchased as I fully expected it to be a total waste. However, after I ran it through one 10 second cycle, I was surprised to find it worked I have again created a perfect video. In terms of ease of use, this can be a bit tricky to use since there are a few ways this can mess up your camera.
