My Panasonic VCR is not compatible with this product. The cleaning tape cannot be advanced by the VCR. When compared to a standard VHS tape, there is something "different" about this one. Otherwise, the VCR is excellent, and I should have relied on the other responses.
This one doesn't require any liquid to work; it's completely dry.
Because the vhs cleaner I bought didn't work in my machine, I returned it to Amazon.

I'm guessing this is an old product because it didn't work for me. The cassette, in other words, was a complete failure. I went to their website (digitalinnovations. com) and found it to be quite interesting. This item was not listed on the website (www. com). The product did not even show up when I searched for it specifically (Clean DR for VCR). Ouch! Here's how it went down. The cassette cleaner cartridge was supposed to run for 30 seconds, then rewind and eject the cassette, but it only ran for about five seconds before stopping. The VCR was turned off after a few minutes. The cassette ejected when I re-started the VCR. I reinserted the disc and tried to rewind it, but it didn't work. So BEWARE OF THE BUYER! There is no support for this product, and there is no way to communicate this to consumers via the website. My recommendation - Look to another product if you still have a lot of VHS movies. Maybe a cassette cleaner of the wet type.
Over the last year, I began selling vintage electronics on eBay, including VCRs, and purchased this product to clean them before selling. I've tried using this head cleaner on JVC, Sony, Panasonic, Memorex, Mitsubishi, Magnavox, and Samsung VCRs, but it hasn't worked yet. The tape will not load into the VCR, will not play, will eject immediately, or will become stuck, forcing me to pry it out. Like many others before me, I wish I had read the reviews before making my purchase.
It is not something you should purchase. I placed an order for two of these tapes. For 30 seconds, the first one was playing. After that, it came to a complete stop. I attempted to go backwards in time. There was no way to rewind the tape. Three different players were used to rewind the video. The tape would not be rewinded by any of the participants. As a result, I got rid of the tape. After that, I tried the second tape. After it had played for 20 seconds, I made sure to turn it off. I was able to rewind this tape (possibly because it hadn't completely run out?). ) Anyhow. This second tape will not rewind after a few uses. Yes, I'm aware of how to open the flap. Rewind the tape by hand. The reels, on the other hand, are jammed shut. is not going to work As a result, I discarded the second tape. This is a product that I do not recommend.
I recently purchased a refurbished VCR from Amazon. I'm converting some old tapes that have been sitting in my basement for a long time. While I'm doing this, I'm assuming the VCR will need to be cleaned frequently. I got to use this product twice, once when it became stuck in the VCR and required the use of a screwdriver to free it. I was terrified of breaking the VCR I had just purchased.
br>A piece of plastic serves as the item's physical cleaner. A VCR head cannot be cleaned in this manner. If you use it, it will damage your VCR, making it a million times worse and possibly jamming the tape permanently inside. br>Any positive reviews on this are unquestionably false. This isn't going to clean heads in any way. br>Amazon needs to get rid of this scum.
The box looked great and arrived on time, but the head cleaning tape was so poorly made that it got stuck in my player, wouldn't rewind, and jammed itself in so tightly that my vhs (which was working perfectly) turned off by itself. To get the sob out of the vhs player, I had to disassemble it and use pliers and two screwdrivers. I had to order a new refurbished vhs player today so I could continue transferring tapes to digital because it was so jammed in that the tape's plastic head broke off while still attached to the machine's insert mechanism, breaking several plastic pieces of the machine. Camper in a state of extreme dissatisfaction. Nothing can be returned for credit because it came out in so many pieces.
The human reflex was the reason I bought it. "Sizzle". br>If your heads are particularly filthy, you should get down to them and clean them with a damp q-tip. There is no empirical data on these kinds of items, so use a tip or something similar and clean properly.
This is a "kit," according to the description. I've had similar kits in the past that included a small bottle of rubbing alcohol to clean it with. There was no alcohol or cleaning solution in this "kit. " The cleaning tape has been removed and is now completely dry. I grabbed some Isopropyl alcohol from the bathroom and sprayed a few drops on the cleaner tape after using it several times with no improvement in picture quality. After running the cleaner tape twice, the heads were clean. Now is a good time to listen to tapes. There are cleaners that are more effective.
