The Surface Pro 4 is compatible with it. There have been no issues with connecting monitors and TVs to my computer. Note however, that the description claims it will work with resolutions of up to 1920x1080. The cable I ordered did not support the 2440x1560 resolution of my computer monitor (this is my fault, not Amazon's).

What is the compatibility status of this product?

As a matter of fact, I almost always use it with my Surface Pro 4.

Can I use this on the 2012 Mac Pro?

I say yes! Mid 2013 I got it for my MacBook Pro and it works fine

Do you offer support for 2560 x 1080 ultrawide displays? In 2015, I use a Dell XPS 13 laptop. ?

Well, the cable worked fine but I was not able to connect the monitor to the computer
3/5

A recommendation led me to choose an ASUS monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440, after which I purchased this cable. Although my graphics card was more than capable of handling the 2560x1440 resolution, I was unable to get the monitor to work with the cable as well as the 2560x1440 resolution. In looking at the description of the cable and adjusting the computer settings, I found mention of its limitations on resolution (which seems a bit silly in our day and age), but I went back and read it again and sure enough the cable is only good for 1920x1080. If you are planning to purchase, please read the description thoroughly.

The MacBook Air or MacBook Pro can be connected to an external display with this cable
5/5

Using this cable to hook up an external monitor to my MacBook Air was all that I needed. The product has a great build quality( as do all Amazon Basics products) and it does an awesome job for what it is intended If you wish to connect your MacBook Air or Pro to external displays using a thunderbolt to HDMI cable, I highly recommend this product.

He died five months after being born
3/5

I worked great for a while, but it didn't work Since I've been using it for five months, it has stopped working. On three different machines, I tested the cable with 3 different cables and confirmed that the ports on each machine were compatible There is no doubt that it is A similar thing happened to me with another cable brand, so perhaps these cables just aren't durable enough to last I am glad that it is not too.

A measurement of the thickness of the boot around the mini display port
3/5

There is too much thickness in the boot around the mini display port to work with modern thin laptops. your laptop somewhat when you get it back in place because it can no longer rest flat on the backside. In addition, an increasing amount of pressure will occur on the mini TV receptacle, which will actually damage the port on the laptop over.

It is too bulky to attach to the Surface In addition to the 6 feet, I also bought a 15 foot
3/5

ambition was to use the 6ft cable when I am docked with my Surface 3 (Not Pro), with the 15ft cable in my carry when I am out and about. It's the plastic around the Mini DisplayPort plug (here - referred to as MDP) end is too bulky for the Surface 3 dock's port, so the two cannot connect. Although this cable does not fit the Surface 3's MDP port when the device is not in the dock, my investment in them was not a total loss. Since there are many more HDMI compliant devices on the market than ThunderBolt/DisplayPort devices, I am fairly certain there are far more people with HDMI As well, Micro HDMI was on the market when the Surface 3 was being developed.

I had to modify it to make it work
4/5

Since I was not able to see anything on the monitor, I didn't think it was working until then. As a result of its bulk, the mini DisplayPort side of the cable had trouble connecting to the computer in full. Once I noticed that it was catching on one side, I used a razor blade to shave a little bit of that side. In the end, I was able to fully insert the CD drive in the computer and the monitor came on right away.

A great way to connect a MacBook Air to a For connecting your MacBook to a TV or monitor, this Mini DisplayPort cable from AmazonBasics is perfect
5/5

The device can be installed, powered on, and used immediately. My experience with this product is that it's still on point with no problems with the cable after several months of use. There's no need to worry about the cable itself breaking because it is very sturdy. My computer is connected to mine so I can stream some items from my computer to the television. I got the 6 feet long cable, and it is long enough for me to sit in my couch and control my computer with it. believe it is always a good idea to get something longer since you can always just wrap it up a little if you do not need it all. However, the DisplayPort side appears a bit bulky even though it connects to the computer perfectly. Having done that, I didn't have any problems. complaint, it would be that there is no indication which side of the DisplayPort should be on. An AmazonBasics logo appears one side, while a DisplayPort symbol appears on the other. There are a few things I don't understand about it. It is an excellent cable, I have broken my previous cable within a few months, so I am satisfied with it. In general, this is a really solid 5-star product that does what it is supposed to do.

It is only available in 1080p
3/5

It also works only from a mini displayport on a computer to a HDMI input on a monitor or television. Actually, I was thinking this might be a way to add another hdmi input (even 1080p would be fine) using the cable going from mini displayport to hdmi on the miscellaneous input side of the monitor. It wasn't the case. I couldn't get a signal from any device with the cable. I flipped it around and hooked it into the mini displayport on the laptop and used one of the two However, I am limited to 1080p no matter what I do (and I can choose to output in 4K if I use HDMI output on the laptop). You can use this port if you have a laptop or a mac with a mini displayport attached and want to hook up to a standard HDMI input (monitor, television, projector, etc. ). Originally, I thought about returning it but since it was only $7, I'm just going to keep it and throw it in my laptop bag (chance it gets used someday? I am doubtful).
