Even if the reviews are mostly positive, you should never buy the cheapest cable. I ordered a second Onkyo RZ receiver to replace my 7-year-old Yamaha receiver and wanted to be prepared, so I bought this cable more than a month before I needed it. I guess I trusted the reviews because they were so glowing, but I completely forgot that the vast majority of people buying cables at this price point don't know any better and believe that all cables are the same, regardless of material or price (hint: they aren't). Those individuals are completely wrong). Both receivers and my new Klipsch Reference Premiere speakers are now installed in both my living room (5. 2) as well as the bedroom (7. 4). I ran the HDMI cable (50 feet from Amazon) and this RCA cable from one receiver to the other this evening. Only one speaker, after all, is functional. I tested everything before removing and replacing the RCA cable because I was afraid of the time it would take to do so. After switching channels on the AVR, inputs, resetting, and swapping L and R speakers and discovering that the L worked fine but the R never did, I disconnected the red RCA on this cable and used the white on each side of the two RCA inputs, and it worked in both. I only got nothing when I used the red side. Keep in mind that I'm working from various locations throughout the house, so this took a long time, and I'm not a green newbie. Elimination process followed by confirmation that one of the two cables is defective. br>br>So I took it out again and replaced it with one of the cheapest thin RCA cables I'd ever seen because that's all I had. Everything has now been restored to its previous state. However, because I'm outside of the "return period," I'm out of luck with this cable. In addition, I had to place an order for a new cable to do the job that this one was supposed to do because the small, cheap one I had installed now would eventually cause interference. So I ordered a well-known and extremely high-quality cable from Amazon. I figured I'd already squandered $300 or so of my time tonight with this FosPower defective cable, so I needed to buy from a brand that didn't have any issues. br>br>I'm probably better off anyway, because the new cable won't have problems in 6 months like this one did, and RCA cables are notorious for causing interference. Don't make the same mistake I did tonight and end up having to redo your work. I also lost the $20 I paid for the cable, which is now useless.

These cables have been in my possession for a couple of years. Despite the low price, they keep company with some pretty darned expensive gear and perform admirably. I had been using various cables that were all more expensive than these, by a lot more by comparison (not crazy money, but 10x, 20x, 30x the Fos- The cost of energy. I've been using these to replace all of my cables, including the Levinson, Monitor Audio, and SVS (current models) cables in my main system. I'll leave the sound debate to those who can tell the difference between good cables, which these, in my opinion, are. ime. br>br>These FosPower interconnects have a double-sided design. shielded, with svelte plugs that fit snugly without being overly tight (as opposed to Monoprice "Premium" ICs, which require so much force to push on/pull off that I was afraid of breaking solder joints inside my gear - Never again), they have 24K connectors, a copper center wire, and are light and flexible. They also appear to have been purchased for a much higher price. Act as if it's a big deal. These have taken the place of all of my cables. I, too, place an order for extras. The cables haven't caused any issues for me. Your audiophile friends will be disappointed, but that's not why I buy good gear in the first place. These ICs excel at serving the music industry. It is strongly advised.

This cable isn't exactly what I was hoping for. It's a lot thinner and smaller than I anticipated. It has a more contemporary look to it. It isn't a Monoprice premium cable, nor is it a Monster RCA or Monster knockoff cable. It's more like an RCA cable from KabelDirekt. The wire is thinner, and the RCA jack has been redesigned to be smaller and more compact. However, I like it and it appears to be of good quality, including the jack. This cable is ideal for short runs and audio applications. Longer runs (over 10 feet) and component video may require a more robust cable with a thicker gauge and a larger RCA jack to provide the necessary separation. The problem with using small jacks and thin wire is that you won't be able to achieve 75 ohm resistance this way. Also, who knows how capacitance is (although it might be better due to the smaller size). The jacks have good insulation and appear to be well designed for their size, but it's difficult to tell how far apart the positive and negative terminals are inside the jack, as well as what kind of shielding or insulation is used to keep them separate and non-interfering. Your MP3 player and/or Bluetooth device should be fine and work well for shorter runs. A CD player should also be fine for shorter runs. They must also be superior to the generic non-shielded RCA cable that many components ship with. I'll have to give this cable a little more time. When I first connected the CD player and amplifier, I thought I heard a very high frequency ring around 19 to 20 kHz. Although the ringing has subsided, I'd like to try a few more things before giving it an unqualified high praise recommendation. If I come across anything unusual, I'll try to let you know about it. It's also possible that the cable is the best deal under $30, but we don't know for sure.
