I love the way this thing I cannot even fathom how this thing works! very pleased to find out that my Xbox One controller from my Dreamcast works with rumble. Hydro Thunder was like no other game that I've played before. As a bonus, when I plugged in my Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro via USB, I was able to play Marvel vs Capcom on both Saturn and Dreamcast (had to update the firmware on the Neo Geo ASP to make it Aside from this, the adapter contains 200 blocks of VMU memory. I am not just throwing this in there as a cheap gesture This is my first away adapter and I'm very pleased with it. This book is well worth the price. This week's update One thing that surprised me the most, though, was that there was an analog stick on the right (something the Dreamcast did not have). It was while I was playing the twin stick shooter XenoCrisis that I realized this. When playing on retro systems, like the Dreamcast, you have to aim and fire your weapon with the face buttons (A, B, X, Y). As long as the Brook Wingman SD adapter's creators had the foresight to map the face buttons (including diagonals, which are achieved by holding down two face buttons together simultaneously on retro systems), this adapter will work just like an Xbox One or other modern console. My only remaining question is whether a generic USB keyboard will work with.

It would be helpful if the instructions were clearer. As well as my Dreamcast and Saturn, I now have a Brook Wingman SD. Currently, I am using my Sony DualShock 3 wireless controller with it, and I am excited about how well it works. It was initially difficult to use the DualShock 3's trigger buttons with the Dreamcast, but eventually it came to be that the adapter had been set to "Arcade Stick" mode rather than By pressing "Select + Triangle" on the DualShock 3, I was able to switch it to gamepad mode. When the adapter is powered on, it would light up green. On their website you will find all of this information, but it is arranged in a very confusing manner. It would have been nice if they spent a little more money and shipped the adapter with printed instructions or if they made their website more user friendly or offered the instructions in PDF format. Just to be safe, you should also update the firmware on your device before using it. However, it is a great device. The only complaint is the lack of clear instructions which would confuse the user into thinking it is broken, otherwise it would be a 5 out of 5.

There's no doubt the Wingman SD is an excellent camera It is a handy little device that converts the Saturn's controller port into a standard USB female port, as well as enabling Bluetooth functionality. I actually own 2 official dreamcast arcade sticks but I'm trying to downsize my collection. With this solution from Brook, I can get rid of two more sticks from my collection. Previously, I owned as many as 14 sticks at a time. thing I was most concerned about was the use of a VMU, and I was very pleased to see that this adapter has 200 blocks of memory. In addition to the DualShock 4, I have also tested out an Xbox One Elite controller and they all work perfectly. It's a great product, I highly recommend it.

This is great because I no longer need to worry about saving my game progress when I'm playing Dreamcast games with these custom combat I have updated (02/22/21) the following Within hours of my initial review, I realized the adapter was unable to connect to the MC Cthulhu PCB. I worked with Brook directly to update their firmware so I could use it! I am in awe of their team and their accomplishments.

If you are planning to use anything modern, this adapter is practically essential. You can even use it for typing of the dead. Though, make sure you are using the latest firmware. It can be powered from a storage device, a portable USB battery or an open USB port on a PC/TV. I wouldn't recommend an AC power outlet as those pose.
