Questions & Answers

Are you able to take it in the car?

WiFi is not required for some of the programs. Thus, it is important to make the right choice. If you use a cellphone, you can tether to it.

Would Netflix be able to be downloaded?

As far as this feature is concerned, I use only Amazon prime.

Includes the case in it?

In fact, yes. You choose the color and that is what you get. On the case there is also a useful stand.

Patience is a virtue
3/5

The device is okay, but there is a major lag when downloading apps and books. I bought the device for my daughter's birthday which is on Friday, and I have been downloading apps and books for her for the past couple of days and it is very slow. She will be fine when she plays games or watches movies, as it appears normal, but when she tries to select an app and it does not open, she will roll her eyes, as we're still trying to teach her The aol dial up noise makes me wait for the app to open while I hear it. I think she will enjoy the battery life and the screen display, although I'm not sure about the other features.

The results thus far have not impressed me
3/5

I can't believe how slow this is. While I was setting up it, I believed it would be fine once all the updates were completed and everything was downloaded, but when I gave it to my 5 and 7 year old yesterday it crashed every 5 minutes while they played The program reset itself multiple times, and most of the complaints I heard complained that it wasn't It tests my patience, but my kids have never experienced anything this slow, so it's not really a game they like. The iPad 3 we bought was intended to replace an iPad 3 from 2012 that is no longer supported well and that I thought was getting too slow. However, the original iPad 3 performs far better than the Please let me know what the return policy is.

It has been going well so far
4/5

It has so far been smooth sailing. In general, I purchased this primarily for car trips, so I do not intend to use it on a daily basis. I see that it's marketed for ages 6+, and since my son is at the bottom of the age range for this, it seems like he doesn't quite have the ability to use the machine without my help. In spite of that, I like the fact that it can "grow into it", which is why we chose it instead of the original Fire tablet, which is designed for children ages 3 to 8. We love the bumper, as well as the worry-free protection for two years. This was one of the main reasons I purchased this instead of an iPad since my kids are always As of right now, I am starting to wonder if it's sufficient storage (the one we got is the basic version). It is enough to have seven inches in size. I like how sleek it looks and the fact that it does not look like a children's.

It can pinch the skin very painfully if it is built into the stand A one in a million chance, Having a new tablet was a big hit with my 6-year-old
3/5

He somehow opened or closed the stand while holding it, which pinched the flesh on his chest. The bruise is about an inch long and 1/4" wide. It started off red, turned purple in the time it took for me to calm him, and will be quite He has it right by his neck Therefore, I will wait until he sleeps so I can take a good picture in which There is probably a 1 in a million or more chance of this happening, but definitely not for children under six Having never had time to experiment with the 'Pro' feature or set it up for filtering, I have not tried other Pro features. The protective case definitely looks "cooler" than the little kid cases, and he's old 2) The fire tablet between two kids) and be responsible for the warranty (2 years is not the first contract between two kids). Whatever, I allowed my boys to play rough with each other but I did not expect my youngest to scream out in pain and throw down his new tablet even before turning When I calmed him (he's tough and resilient), he said he hated it and did not want to touch it a second time. It took a few minutes for big brother to hold it for it to be fixed, The caveat emptor maxim applies.

There is no quality to this
3/5

The software is slow, it crashes, it freezes, and the touch screen is disabled. It's not what you would expect from a tablet in 2021, but I guess it would have worked back then.

I would recommend it to everyone
5/5

Although I was hesitant to buy these items since my daughters had plenty of similar items and not this brand. However, this thing appears to be sturdy with a bumper. It is also great to have a worry free guarantee. The book is well worth the money and I bought it for plane travel. Additionally, they receive a free year of Amazon Kids and are able to access a lot of awesome content.

It works great when you use the second one! My 6-year-old is able to hold it comfortably as it is large enough but not so bulky as to be Setting up the new fire tablet was relatively easy because all the apps and games from the old tablet could be copied
4/5

I don't like how the initial tablet overheated after 15 minutes on the first one, but this one has a much better case, and he loves the stand!
This tablet does not overheat after 15 minutes, either. At random, the computer would go to a black screen/go to the Amazon Kids loading screen after 30 minutes of use. My customer service agent told me to return the tablet for a new one after I reported it to them via messaging. I am grateful that I found the replacement, and the new one All in all, my kid has been pleased with the product, which makes me happy.

For kids, this device is a great choice
5/5

It comes with more parental controls and is super easy to use, so it is a good option for kids that want their own device. A text message or an email informs me of every time one of my children wishes to add an app.
