The only difference between the Rb1280x2A and the RB1280X2B, according to CyberPower tech support, is the cable connector. On the exit side of the RB1280X2A, there is a male and a female connector. It actually takes the place of the HR1234W in the CP1500AVR. The female connectors on the RB1280X2B are recessed. There's also an RB1280X2 that's just the loose batteries found in the above-mentioned assemblies. I hope this has been of assistance.

If you rely on the Cyberpower website for this, you will end up with a battery that is practically useless. br>br>Now, you might think they're the same based on the descriptions, but they're not in a significant way. Outside of the battery itself, the RB1280X2A includes wire pigtails and connectors. The RB1280X2B only has a socket built into the battery assembly. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SUBSTITUTE THEM! br>br>I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing an RB1280X2B to open up their UPS and check to see if the battery pack has a pigtail coming out of it with connectors that connect outside of the battery pack, or if there are just two wires running into a plug that physically mates inside the battery pack. If the connectors are outside, you'll need a RB1280X2A; if they're inside, you'll need a RB1280X2A; if the connectors are inside, you'll need a RB1280X You'll need an RB1280X2B if the plug and socket are physically inside the battery pack.
In my CP1500PFCLCD, I used it to replace a dead battery. The battery was packaged in a brown box with cardboard packing material all around it, and it appeared to be brand new and authentic. Regardless, the new battery has performed admirably thus far, and I will update this review if anything changes. br>br>2017 UPDATE- The problem appears to have been resolved with the installation of a new battery. There haven't been any more problems for me.
