Thank you for your assistance, Amazon, but shame on you, APC, for deceiving your customers. This battery is not compatible with the 1300 pro. APC also makes no attempt to label replacement batteries clearly or provide information on them. This isn't the first time I've had an issue with APC; in fact, I recall having a similar problem with another APC UPS in the past; they keep coming out with new products with minor changes in order to force you to buy a new device rather than replace (and recycle) batteries. One thing is certain: this will be my last purchase from APC.

The review has been updated.   Amazon will not refund you for a defective battery. I'm currently awaiting UPC support. New battery: The chirping sound is accompanied by a blinking empty battery icon. There has been no change after more than 15 hours of charging. br>Update: I should have gotten the generic brand. br> br>I filed a complaint with APC, and they promptly sent me a brand new battery. I had to supply the battery's serial number as well as proof of purchase.

I measured the weight of the original APC battery that came with my UPS and found it to be 10 pounds. This UPC replacement weighs 9 pounds, according to my calculations. The weight of a lead acid battery is crucial. The more lead there is, the heavier it is. Because more lead equals longer life, the warranty is likely to be shorter than that of an original APC battery. Advantages: br>br>
- Just plug it in and go. There's no need to put anything together.
- The fit is perfect. I slid the old battery out and slid in the new one after opening the Battery door. All of this was accomplished without the need to turn off the UPS. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- Because the battery is lighter, there is less lead in the system. It is unknown how long the service will last. If the battery lasts as long as the original APC, only time will tell.

After installing the battery, the APC UPS must be reset (Brain- dead)br>br>Use this simple procedure to brain-dead the Back-End-End-End-End-End-End-End-End-End-End- UPS: 1. br>br> Disconnect any load that is connected to it. (br>br>any equipment plugged into the UPS)br>br>2. Disconnect the UPS from the electrical outlet. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. Remove the internal UPS battery and disconnect it. (If it's easier, you can disconnect the connector or completely remove the battery. )br>br>4. 5. Press and hold the UPS's "On" button for 5 seconds (you may hear a click, chirp, or see lights blink)br>br> Remove the internal battery and reconnect it. 6. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> Connect the UPS to a power outlet in the wall. 7. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> UPS should be turned on.

A terminal that plugs into the APC UPS was broken and did not make contact with the APC UPS when it was delivered defective. The UPS is displaying an error code and, of course, is not providing battery power when it is required. Ugh, I should have just gone with one from APC instead of trying to save money. I disassembled an old APC battery, removed the connecting junction block between the two batteries, and used it to "repair" this unit (there are videos that show the composite makeup and how two batteries are connected in serial to form this large battery). I'll have to order a replacement because the battery life isn't what I expected. br>br>Lesson learned: you get what you pay for. China junk at a low price.

APC's RBC123 battery pack is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement. It's ready to use. Get your game on! It is possible to install it without disconnecting the UPS from the power source, allowing it to continue to power your equipment while you swap battery packs.

It is not cheap, but it is an excellent product in every way. I bought four of them in the end. I bought four APCs that were missing batteries and needed these to make them work. They're as simple to set up as they come and perform admirably. Don't scrimp on the 6 to 8 dollars you could be saving elsewhere.

My APC UPS, which had a dead battery, got a new lease on life thanks to this. I have several APC UPSs with dead batteries, and I'll be replacing all of them with new battery packs. I replaced the battery pack in the unit and the battery was at 100% when I plugged it in. Power outages are no longer a threat to the computer connected to it.
