Questions & Answers

Why does it say "legal disclaimer:" if this is truly from apc? This high-quality rbc7 battery was produced in large quantities. ?

The batteries are not made by APC. They buy from a variety of suppliers, slap their logo on it, and charge a premium for it. A company named Vision labeled mine underneath the sticker.

My model is the XS 1300. Is this a suitable substitute?

I bought this battery for my XS 1300 based on one of the answers to this question, but it is not compatible. APCRBC123 is the proper battery model. The fact that APC places the actual model number of their UPS units on the bottom of the UPS is one of the more perplexing aspects of the company. The model number displayed on the front panel is XS 1300, not XS 1300. The correct model number is BG 1300G, which can be found on the bottom of the unit. I'm currently attempting to return the battery, but Amazon says "This item is not eligible for return" due to safety concerns. Because that disclaimer is absent from the sales page, I'm hoping Amazon will make an exception.

Is apc the company that sells this? Why is it $50 on this site but $80 on theirs? (sku: sku: sku: sku: sku: sku: strange! (apcrbc109) ?

Surprisingly, they've dropped in price to $80 in the last two years. I bought them for $52 when they were on sale.

This battery pack is not 240v, despite what the amazon listing claims. It has a dc voltage of 24 volts and a 12 volt per cell voltage. Is that correct, or am I missing something?

Technically, each cell has a voltage of two volts. Each battery contains six 2V cells for a total of 12V. So, yes, the battery pack of two batteries is 24V.

APC does not manufacture their own battery line
3/5

I have a BACKUPS-type of BACKUPS-type of BACKUPS-type of The XS1500 LCD is a non-reflective display. I've had an uninterruptible power supply for a long time. I didn't notice a brand name printed on the battery casing under the white APC label that APC had slapped over the sides of the batteries until I pulled them out when I needed to replace the original "APC" batteries. Essentially, they are putting their name on the batteries of others. br>br>Vision was the manufacturer of the original "APC" battery. According to my research, APC uses a variety of battery manufacturers, labels the batteries with their labels, and then charges a premium for the batteries. br>br>However, it is not necessary to purchase an APC-labeled battery for your UPS. Choose a name brand that you are familiar with and that meets the battery's specifications. You can remove the label and see who the true manufacturer is as well as the specifications, as I did. In my case, I have a dual battery system, which means I need to buy two 12 Volt batteries separately and combine them in my UPS. br>br>Therefore, it is not necessary to pay a premium for an APC labeled battery; simply choose a reasonably priced option with a name brand and positive reviews, and you will be fine, as the cheaper priced batteries will most likely have the same lifespan as the "APC" labeled batteries, which are most likely manufactured by the same company. I don't know if there's a way to check the manufacturer date on the last APC I got because it was dusty and appeared to have been in the box for a long time. br>br>In my case, I'm on my third battery, which has lasted almost as long as the original "APC" while costing up to $30 less. br>br>While "APC" batteries are good, they are overpriced when compared to alternatives, which are most likely made by the same company.

Is it really as good as it claims to be at holding a charge? No, not at all
4/5

A few days after replacing this battery in an APC 1500 UPS, we lost power for 5 hours due to scheduled downtime for electrical work. Because it was on the schedule, I figured it'd be a good idea to test the auto shutdown and all UPS batteries. On various networking and computer systems, we have six uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs). Just before turning off the power, the UPS's LED displayed 1 hour 37 minutes of runtime. The LED displayed 34 minutes of runtime immediately after the building's power was turned off, then 18 minutes after 5 minutes, for a total run time of 19 minutes at 210 watts before auto shutdown was enabled. All of the other UPS batteries are at least three years old. I had hoped that the new battery would outperform the old UPS. However, this was not the case. The remaining 5 UPS 1500/2500 units lasted between 72 and 130 minutes.

So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly
5/5

I purchased this battery as a replacement for my APC RS- Because of a dead or drained battery, the 1500 backup is emitting a loud, annoying alarm. In the middle of last year, I purchased it. It was supposed to arrive in July 2021, but it wasn't until the middle of the year. I didn't mind the wait because I didn't require it until August. It was also Amazon's lowest-priced item, shipped and sold. I noticed the price has risen significantly, and I believe it is now overpriced. The inner box in which the two batteries were packaged was torn and ripped. I'm just relieved that it wasn't harmed. The Amazon box's outer shell was in perfect condition. Instructions for replacing the batteries were included with the batteries. It also included instructions for getting rid of your old batteries. It also included a receipt from APC, indicating that the batteries had been tested. My test date was set for October 2020, if my memory serves me correctly. It's not bad at all. I double-checked my work by watching a YouTube video of other people's replacements. It's very straightforward and straightforward. Simply unplug each plug and reconnect them one at a time. To replace the battery, connect one plug at a time. When I switched on my APC, the fan started spinning. The batteries were 100% fully charged. After a few hours, the fan turned off; it's been a few days now, and so far, everything is fine. I'm hoping that this new battery will last for several years. I'm also hoping that the price falls to a more reasonable level. Perhaps $50-$100. The price is reasonable at $60.

I'm glad I went with OEM instead of aftermarket
5/5

When the original battery started to puff on me, I had a Back UPS 1250 NG that I had set aside for a while. br>br>When I finally needed it, I was planning on purchasing some third-party batteries until I realized that this wasn't much more expensive. I figured that for a few dollars more, I'd get the peace of mind of knowing that I'd have a battery that would last at least as long as the original. br>br>The package included APC-branded documentation, and the battery included the diagnostic printout you'd expect from an APC product. The diagnostic was from late October, and I ordered the battery in early March. br>br>The battery came with a jumper wire that connected the two packs and plastic terminal guards. It showed 100% charge with the UPS unplugged after I dropped it into my UPS. When I added a normal load to the UPS, it was able to maintain power for about as long as it did when it was new (about 40 minutes), and it charged right up when the power was restored. br>br>Are the other batteries capable of doing the same? Maybe. But if the difference in price is less than the cost of lunch, I'd rather not leave it to "maybe. ".

Battery is brand new from the manufacturer
5/5

These are the same identical batteries that I purchased from APC back when APC was APC. They come with a load printout and are tested. br>The batteries are a couple months old by the test date, but they are still new and unused, just like when I bought them from them. Depending on your UPS installation, it may be a pain in just getting the UPS flipped over as it comes out the bottom, sliding door off, and removing the old one as there is almost no extra space. That said, it only took about 10 minutes or so, and from past experience, I usually get 5 years or more out of these, which is less expensive than buying an entire new UPS.
