Our HP LaserJet 4100TN's fuser was broken, so we replaced it. I don't owe anything to that machine at the moment, as it is a real workhorse. Yet replacing a fuser on a workgroup printer will cost you far more than purchasing a new one. In my view, these are 'wear' items, little different from replacing the brakes in your vehicle. The only problem is that your printer will need to be replaced after a while and/or after enough printing. My main part fit perfectly, and instructions on HP's website were clear and easy to follow.
