The cables I received were not designed for outdoor use.
On a 14 G, you can run one or the other, but not both at the same time. Even then, the wire's maximum rating is 1800 watts at 120 V; you'll have to hope you don't forget or that someone else tries to run both at the same time because you'll be overloading a 14 G wire, which is not a good idea.
Yes, it functions in the same way as any other electric cord, but it is not waterproof. Unless they specifically state that they are, none of them are. I've never had a waterproof electrical cord, but I'm sure they exist.

This product came dangerously close to causing a fire in my home. For the holidays, we used this splitter to power one small/low-wattage LED spotlight. I was lucky enough to be at home when I smelled something burning on the front porch - My front porch's concrete had been melted by this splitter. We'll need to hire an electrician to make sure nothing else was harmed, and we'll have to repaint a large charred section of the porch where this thing self-destructed. demolished No one was hurt, thank goodness.
This heavy-duty product, which is used outside in the rain to connect two led floodlights to a fifty-foot extension cord, does not fade, crack, or show any signs of wear, unlike the orange extension cord, which faded in the scorching southern sun. Buy it.

For each of us, two outlets equal a lamp and an alarm clock. Except. My husband also has a CPAP machine, so something else had to go or we had to add a single outlet in some way in order to plug it in. I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro laptop. and want to use them together for screens as well as the seemingly limitless capabilities of all Apple laptops This adapter cord is also heavy-duty, with a short cord that connects to a longer cord (which is plugged into a wall socket). With this'splitter,' I can connect both laptops to each other in a secure and powerful manner. My laptop is on a rolling table (much like the hospital meal tables); I can move this table with my laptop close to my favorite chair because the main very long cord is under a large cabinet and TV table! But now I can move them both around without risking power or dragging a large surge strip because I only need two ports for the two triple plugs, which I have never needed before. As a result, I usually use one of two cords: a heavy-duty cord with one socket; or a heavy-duty cord with two sockets or, more commonly, a well-made and configured for my needs adapter, so I was surprised I hadn't used one before! When you don't need to provide 220 volts, I highly recommend this. However, you want to be able to charge your important technology, such as a laptop or two, whenever you need it. Also, the extra socket ports aren't required.
I used it in a Smart Outlet strip to plug two computers into the "control" (blue) outlet, so that if either or both computers are turned on, the items plugged into the (green) outlets (USB printer, speakers, monitor, 5-foot extension cord, etc. ) will turn on as well.
