This is a good extension cord for the money, but make sure it's the right one for you
5/5

It's a good extension cord, but it's designed for a computer or other electronic device, with three blades. On the female end, there are standard two-way type receptacles, and on the male end, there are standard two-way type receptacles. On the male end, there is a rounded blade in addition to the blade. This went unnoticed by me, and I required the standard two-hour turnaround time. On the female end, there is a bladed plus one rounded receptacle, which is also available on Amazon. Take a look at the photo of myself. I hope this information assists you in avoiding purchasing the incorrect plug. By the way, Amazon Basics is fantastic, as are the packaging and returns.

For my monitor, it performs as expected
5/5

Those who gave it a one-star rating and said it didn't fit were probably trying to use it as an extension cord. br>This isn't an extension cord; instead, it's for powering specific devices, such as a monitor in my case. br>br>Apart from that, it's great and doesn't come loose as easily as other aftermarket cables I've tried.

For the original PlayStation 3 from 2006, this is a fantastic upgrade
5/5

Is it possible that your former roommate has taken your PlayStation 3's power cord? Perhaps your dog was bored and decided to chew it up. Whatever the case may be, rest assured that this power cord will work with your original, non-replaceable power supply. PlayStation 3 (slim, "fat") br>br>How do I know which PS3 model I have?br>If the top of your PlayStation 3 reads "PLAYSTATION 3," then this cord is for you. This cord will not work if your PlayStation 3 only has the letters "PS3" on the top. br>br>The cord is of excellent quality, and I am confident in its ability to power my electronics without fear of heat or cable shorts.

For my wall, it's the perfect length

HDTV is mounted on the wall.   The AmazonBasics Power Cord - Black is the subject of this review. I recently wall-mounted a foot, blackbr>br>I recently wall-mounted a foot, blackbr>br>I recently wall-mounted I was mounting my HDTV and needed a shorter AC power cord; this one came up in my Amazon search, and the price was right, so I decided to try it. It's ideal for the task at hand. It's the perfect length for adjusting the HDTV on the wall. mount, but not for too long that it becomes a tangle of wires. Perfect.

The product is overall exactly what it says it is and is a good price; the only reason I gave it four stars is because I wish it made it clearer that the socket end of the cable does not handle all prongs
4/5

I wanted to use this to connect to my lights, but one of its prongs (the metal part) is too large to fit into the socket end of this cable. So make sure whatever you connect to has the right size prongs, and just in case anyone doesn't know, most circuit breakers are rated at 15 amps, whereas this cable is only rated at 10 amps. In general, you should be fine, but make sure you know what you'll be using it for, as running 15 amps through 10 amp cable can cause a fire.

The dimensions of the female socket are inadequate
3/5

The dimensions of the female socket are inadequate; it cannot even accommodate its own male connector. To begin, there are the ve and - signs. Because the ve terminal is smaller than standard, no male connector can be used with it. I tried it on a variety of devices myself. The earth socket isn't circular, either. A circular earth connector, rather than a strip, is used on the majority of appliances. Engineering flaws.

I didn't realize it until it was too late that one of them was broken
3/5

I didn't realize it until much later that the very first cable, right on top, was broken. The first time I used it, it was to power a Mac Plus, a classic computer. The Mac Plus is an older computer that may experience issues after so many years. It started rebooting at random intervals, and I couldn't even get it to turn on. At first, I assumed it was the Mac Plus, and I spent over $100 on parts to fix it. Later, I used the same power cord to power a newer, more modern computer. br>br> And, to my surprise, it had exactly the same symptoms! I mean, what are the chances? It would reboot halfway through use, then during startup, and finally wouldn't start at all. Wow, two computers from completely different eras, manufacturers, and models exhibiting the same symptoms, how strange is that? br>br>Well, it turns out that when I plug in a working power cord, both computers work perfectly fine, with no issues. The issue is that the power cord is broken, and anything it connects to has issues as a result. br>br>Look, I understand that manufacturing things is difficult, and mistakes do happen, but this is a critical component to get right. If even one of them has a flaw (especially the first one, which is right on top! ), the whole thing will fall apart. ) someone like me might end up spending hundreds of dollars on something they don't need because they think a product is broken when it's actually the power cord; after all, who suspects the power cord?br>br>It irritates me that I wasted over $100 on things I didn't need because of a cheap power cord. Worse, the item is Amazon-branded, with Amazon shipping and selling it. I assumed Amazon was a brand I could trust with something as important as a power cord, and I've never had any issues with Amazon Basics or Amazon in general. I would have suspected that the cord was broken sooner if I had known these had occasional reliability issues, but the reviews are all positive. I wish someone had told me ahead of time that "hey, some of these might not work. " "br>br>Perhaps all of the other power cords are fine; I certainly hope so; however, you should be aware that at least some of them are defective, and depending on how the cord is broken and what you use it for, this could pose a fire hazard. " br>br>The cord appears to be in good condition, and the packaging and contents appeared to be in good condition upon arrival. There was no hint that something wasn't quite right. Just keep in mind that some of these are faulty; I suppose you get what you pay for.

I'm happy to report that my power cord worked
5/5

Thank you for sending one that worked; it would have been inconvenient and potentially dangerous to have to return it- This level of attention to what some may consider a minor detail is greatly appreciated by me. At this point in my life, I've amassed a large number of power cords for a variety of items that have since become obsolete, and I'm running out of space to store them- " Without a doubt," I reasoned. "With so many of these other power cords laying around, there's no way I need to buy another one?" "But, of course, I was mistaken; none of these would fit the medical device that keeps me alive every day. " Why bother if you don't have to? I mean, come on- There are huge piles of old power cords strewn about thrift stores with nowhere to attach or plug them in! It's a real shame- This strew of human garbage is waiting for its chance to return to a useful existence- Before the accident, he was a lot like the one I used to know. But I'm sure that's not the place to discuss it.
