However, I would not recommend saving $50 on the cable if it means redoing several hours of work, especially if the cable will be hidden behind drywall. This product has a lot of positive feedback, and it appears to work well in most cases. This cable isn't solid copper, which I didn't realize. The wire is CCA, which stands for copper clad aluminum, and it may or may not work in all circumstances. I spent three hours running four runs of this cable throughout a large office, only to discover that any length greater than 50 feet was insufficient to support my POE devices (IP phones). After doing some research, I discovered that CCA cable has issues with POE at longer distances. I ended up buying solid copper cable and replacing all of the CCA cable with it. In the future, I would steer clear of CCA wire.
When I chose three stars, the words "It's OK" came up, and that pretty much sums up this cable. I'm a 15-year Network Engineer, so I'm not even going to think about how many cables I've made in my life, though I did get to use high-end cable on someone else's dime on occasion. When pulled, it slips a little in the shielding, it can be brittle and break, and it doesn't hold shape very well when putting the ends on, but it's not bad for the money. It'll stay with me and be put to good use.
This is a low-cost cable that can be used. I ran two of these cables, along with a stiff coax 70 feet and an additional 50 feet to a bedroom, all inside the conditioned space of my home using interior walls, raceways, and cable staples, to move my network from a far corner downstairs to a central closet upstairs for better wifi broadcasting and ethernet in my home office. There are no complaints because LAN speeds of 60 to 112 MBps are still achieved between the NAS and various wired laptops. br>br>Would I use this cable to wire a house or for runs longer than 150 feet? No, for two reasons: 1) it's a cat5e device; and 2) it's a cat5e device. 10Gbps is the way of the future, and CCA is the way of the future. not as strong or conductive as copper, and 3) it doesn't feel as strong during pulls as copper does. However, for my needs of relatively short, semi-short, semi-short, semi-short, semi-s It works fine with exposed runs and low I/O expectations.
For the past four years, I've worked as a network installer. This was purchased as a side project. There are 8 PCs on the server and 5 IP cameras in the business. Yes, it will kink in the box, which is to be expected at this price point; however, this cable performs far better than other cable I've used for the same basic price, and the sheathing on this is very nice (for the price). If you spend 120 on a 1000-foot box, you'll get all copper, a noticeable difference in the sheathing, and no kinks when pulling it out. I gave this product five stars because it is a good value for the money.
I've had no problems with signal strength, even on some pretty long runs, and the sheathing is pretty good as well; I took a chance and used some outside, and it's been working fine for about 6 months now. It got snagged a couple of times in the box, but it was mostly smooth to pull. I left it in the back of a hot car for a while, and some of the sheathing on the outside of the roll melted and became stuck together, so that's something to keep in mind depending on the environment. Overall, I was impressed, and it holds up well against more expensive cabling. I've already placed an order for a second roll.
In the box, there are three meters. I double-checked the spoolers and the box. When I was doing four pulls at the same time and the same two boxes kept jamming, it drove me insane. br>Overall, they're good for the price; they're soft, so they're easy on the hands when terminating; however, they're fragile when used for phone lines, so be careful when screwing them to posts. With keystone jacks and male rj45 crimps, they're a dream to work with.
After reviewing many options, this one stood out the most due to its price matching nearly all competitors and ability to handle gigabit speeds without any issues. br>br>I would highly recommend this product as I've completed several installations with no complaints! If you need to paint over an existing color or don't want it to stand out, the white color is ideal. I saved some money by testing the cable and ensuring that all wires were working properly. Why pay more when you can get a product for less money and get the same level of performance? br>br>Many thanks, and keep up the good work!

I made a mistake by not doing my research and buying whatever seemed the cheapest, which is why I didn't return. br>br>This wire is copper aluminum, not solid copper, which is what you want if you want speed and reliability. br>br>Because aluminum does not conduct electricity well, I would avoid using it.
