The ribbon is 1/4" wide with a 3/8" border around it.
Yes, I've used it on both the PC and the Xbox 360. It's just a regular Ethernet cable.
I have a PS3 and a PS4, and it works flawlessly on both of them, but I'm not sure about the Xbox One.
It is, in fact, a standard ethernet cable. There's no reason why it shouldn't work with any device with an ethernet port.

I had the thought that switching to compact flat cables would make my Ethernet box with approximately 15 cat5e cables connected to a router look neater. Flat cables cannot be bundled / zipped tied (neatly), and the 15 flat cables resemble a nest of black plastic floppy fettuccine noodles as a result. Flat cables, especially in confined spaces, may not always give the desired professional appearance.
Overall, this cable performs admirably for the price. It gives me 1 Gigabit per second, which is standard, but you may need to modify your cable, as I did. Because the boot was too big for my computer and was pressing against the IO shield, I cut a piece off and it now fits perfectly. The actual clip that holds the cable into the computer appears to be a little shorter than the rest of my cables, so I had to disengage the clip with a pen to get it out of my computer. br>TLDR:
Pros: a good cable for the money, with a modification to increase compatibility
Cons: If the boot is removed or shortened, the plastic clip is shorter than usual, making it difficult to remove the cable.
Despite the fact that Cat5e is an older standard, it provides the speeds I require. At home, I have a 400mbps internet connection, and Cat5e is still plenty fast. This cable was chosen over a Cat6 cable because it was flat and thin, taking up less space in the cramped space behind my desk than a Cat6 or 7 cable. I wasn't concerned about interference because I only needed a few feet of cabling. This is a good option if you want a thin cable with good build quality and quick speeds.
It didn't work out. Garbage with a poor quality control system. I wasted two hours of troubleshooting time trying to get my NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-band router to work. Model of the band: It must be recognized by the R8000 router. Finally, I switched to an older CAT 5 and it worked like a charm.
5E cable. Only 100MB of memory is used, rather than 1GB as in CAT- I've heard several people say the same thing, and I should've read reviews before purchasing. This business is either mislabeling cables or deceiving customers on purpose. WARNING TO BUYERS!.
I've been using Monoprice charging cables for my phones for years (because they come in long lengths like 10' and 15'), so I thought I'd give these a try. So far, I've purchased two. The terminals snap into place with ease, are extremely compact due to their flat design, and have incredible speed capabilities - What else could a person possibly desire?.
It was the shortest length they could transport in their trucks. What a tangle of wires it was to connect three boxes that were next to each other. These shorties have taken their place, and there is no longer a large bundle of tangled wires.
It's very compact (except that you'll never be able to wind them up again) and extremely well priced, and I've only used it once and it worked perfectly. However, I was unaware that it was a thin ribbon cable, which, while fine, appears to be less durable and more difficult to wind up.
