Selected User Reviews For AURUM CABLES CAT5e Outdoor Waterproof Direct Burial Ethernet Network Cable - 350 MHz - (250 Feet)

There are no flaws and the quality is excellent
5/5

It was delivered on time and with minimal packaging waste. The plan was to use the entire 250-square-foot space for the application. line-of-sight transmission of an ISP provider signal from an outdoor receiver/sender unit sight reception to a far-off cell tower, via approx. 140' trench conduit and a router for wi-fi upstairs in our house Computers and other devices can access the internet via Wi-Fi. I started by taking the roll to the ISP office for a preliminary examination. All six conductors were found to be in good working order after an installation test. The initial performance test showed proper signal transmission after installation and connection to the receiver/sender. I'm happy with it and can confidently recommend it, with the caveat that pre-purchase research is required. Testing may be recommended to catch the occasional manufacturing defect that might happen in a small % number of cables.

Long, powerful, and not overly thick When I moved, I bought this cable because I was moving to an apartment with a spare room that I could use as an office instead of having my computer in the living room where the network connection was
5/5

The problem was that it came into the apartment in the living room, which was the farthest corner from the room I was going to use as my office. br>br>I knew this, but I didn't get a chance to see the apartment/never got exact measurements, so I bought this cable. That length turned out to be much longer than I anticipated, and that's really the only criticism I have of it. I didn't seem to lose any signal strength or bandwidth from my router even at a distance of 250 feet. And the cable appears to be about the same thickness as an ethernet cable, if not a little firmer, so you'll have to work out the kinks a little more as it tries to coil again. It did, however, fit into standard cheap cable holders to keep it in place as it ran across my apartment. br>br>I need to shorten it, and I have the tools to do so, but I haven't done so yet. As a result, I can't say whether or not that will be a problem. However, I do not believe there will be any issues.

As a result, I removed them and replaced them with better ones
3/5

That's how I came across that particular one. Dead. I suspected the connectors were the problem, so I removed them and replaced them with good ones. That's when I realized one of the twisted pairs wasn't properly twisted. In addition, some of the individual wires snapped while I was stripping the wire to install the new connectors. There are a plethora of reputable cable producers. There's no reason to use this one.

It would have been fantastic if it had worked from the start, but I ran it only to discover that it did not
3/5

To get this to work, I had to cut both ends and re-connect them. After that, everything is fine. I'm glad I purchased it, but the quality control could be improved. On a brand new cable, you shouldn't have to redo the ends.

The cable is excellent
5/5

Due to an underground cable outage, a temporary connection was needed between a main building and a work trailer. This cable was used to connect the signal to the outbuilding, and it worked perfectly for the two months we needed it. I'm not sure why a stretch category was added, because this cable has no elasticity and would break if stretched.

Cat5e cable of excellent quality
5/5

Within the cable, there are four pairs of good quality. It appears to be tough enough to be pulled into tight corners, making it ideal for patching cables or long runs. Instead of attempting to find a cheaper cable, simply purchase this brand.

The tie wraps were not included in the package
3/5

This cable appears to be of excellent quality. Because the ground is frozen, I have yet to install it. The tie wraps that were supposed to be included in the package did not arrive, which isn't a big deal because they were probably cheap and I have plenty, but it does taint the deal a little on principle. I plan to fold this cable, pull it through a shallow tube I've already buried, cut the bend, and add two more plugs so I can run two runs of hard wire network cable to the barn (man cave) for TV and computer. A Wi-Fi hotspot serves as the "feed end. " It'll be close enough for all wireless needs thanks to the wi-fi router. This takes the place of a non-replaceable non-replaceable non-replace A year of service from a ground contact cat 5 cable.

Not at all what was advertised! Cable ties and a crimp tool are both missing
3/5

It expressly states, "I'm" and "Includes tool and ties. " If it's done on purpose, it's horrible, and if it's an accident, it's terrible quality control.
