I've confirmed that this works with the Surface Pro 2017 model. If your numbers aren't going through, try pressing the clear button on the Satechi, which also acts as a numlock.

.
While on my long business trips to Asia, I do a lot of spreadsheet work on my laptop, and I've always entered data using a numeric keypad. I can't stand typing numbers in a row on a regular keyboard. br>br>I had a Bluetooth keypad with two extra columns of buttons that I hardly ever used and that required two AA batteries, which made it bulkier than it needed to be and meant I didn't have to worry about the batteries on business trips. The worst part about this keypad, however, was that it kept disconnecting from my new MacBook Pro. I decided I needed a new keypad because it was becoming increasingly frustrating. br>br>I needed a Bluetooth device with a rechargeable battery and the smallest possible footprint (I didn't want one with another USB dongle to worry about losing). These additional function buttons were nice to have, but I quickly realized that I was only using spreadsheets to enter numbers. It would be nice to be able to use the cursor arrows, but it's really just a matter of moving one's hand a few inches closer to the MBP's arrow buttons. br>br>The space grey version is a good match for the MBP's space grey. Even Apple's own space grey keyboard and trackpad don't match up perfectly with the space grey on the MBP, so I don't think a minor mismatch is a big deal. br>br>As far as I can tell, the Satechi keypad stays put on the desks I've tried it on and doesn't wobble. It's sometimes necessary to pay attention to the levelness of the desk surfaces. The keys are fine, though they are not the same as those on the new MacBook Pro and Apple keyboards. The Satechi keys have a spongier feel to them, which may bother some people, but not me. It feels good in my hands, and all of the keys function properly. br>br>I like that it's small, that it can be recharged via USB micro port, and, most importantly, that it doesn't disconnect as frequently as my previous keypad did. It keeps me productive on the road with the least amount of fuss, is extremely portable, and does exactly what it should.
This keypad is quite good. It instantly connected to my iMac and works flawlessly. It complements my Apple keyboard nicely; the metal finish isn't perfect, but it's close enough. You can use it while it charges because the charging port is on the back. br>br>Like many others, mine didn't sit perfectly flat on the desk, but a small piece of tape on the back's small rubber foot fixed it invisibly; This isn't a major issue. br>br>As other reviewers have pointed out, the key labels are decals that may wear over time; they are not exactly the same color as the Apple keyboard labels, but they are close enough. br>br>Overall, I believe this is a good product for the price. br>br>I was not given a discount or any other form of compensation in exchange for this review. This product was purchased at full retail price.
PCs are not supported. It is "Compatible with Bluetooth-enabled devices," according to the description. "Compatible Macs and PCs," but my 2018 HP Spectre X360, which runs Windows 10, isn't one of them. It connects to Bluetooth without issue; however, it does not type any numbers. The "2" and "8" buttons were the only ones that worked, but they only took me to the top or bottom of a page. br>br>I really wanted this to work because it looks amazing, but I had to return it because it didn't work for me. If it had actually worked as a number keypad, I would have given it five stars and recommended it to anyone.
I recently purchased an iMac and despised the included keyboard, which made me feel like I needed to ice my hands after a morning of typing. I didn't like the lack of a number pad and the short key travel. I found the right keyboard for me after some research, but there was still no number pad. I decided on this one based on Amazon reviews. I'm really happy. It was quick to set up. br>br> I've discovered that having a separate number pad is something I enjoy. Between the keyboard and the number pad, I've positioned my touchpad. It fits in perfectly with my work flow.
Although the design resembled that of an Apple product, the finish was not. Touch isn't the same as on an Apple keyboard, and there's a lot of room for disappointment if you have high expectations. It is, however, perfectly acceptable to use. Professional. br>br> br>portable for outdoor use, br>lightweight, br>long-lasting br>Easy pairing and long-term use battery br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there is no such thing as a free lunch. Similarly, the touch experience is not the same as on an Apple keyboard. br>br>Pro. br>portable for outdoor use, br>lightweight, br>long-lasting br>Easy pairing and long-term use battery br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there is no such thing as a free lunch. br>Only the design is identical to that of an apple, but the finish is not. br>Poor quality than expected, br>Higher price than quality.
It's obvious that the quality isn't up to par with Apple's, but expecting that is unrealistic. It's made of rubber. It establishes a secure connection and maintains it. The buttons are responsive and functional. My space gray MacBook has a similar design. One of the corners lifted slightly off the table, which was the only issue I had. By removing two of the back's top rubber pads, I was able to solve the problem. On the table, it now sits perfectly flat. Wrapping is less likely with a metal body. Overall, I find it to be enjoyable to use.
