The Panasonic RAM products require these disks to be used.
DVD-ROMS require double-sided disks, which can be viewed only on DVD-ROM players Hard drives with RAM. The type of cartridge refers to the container used to hold the disk.
It is necessary to flip the disk in order to record on the other side if it is used out of its case, as with older Panasonic units

But, the disk seems to be working fairly well For my S-style digital camera, I replaced it with a Panasonic DVR I thought I could record and then erase on my VHS deck, but I didn't realize that DVR disks can't be used that way. There was a mention of RAM disk in the description, and it sounded The only RAM disks that work with Panasonic decks are those made by Panasonic, but for me that was no problem. I have recorded and erased many programs so far on the RAM disk, and the pictures have been much better than the recordings on my S-HD Deck of VHS tapes. The RAM disk I have is large enough that I could have made do with a smaller capacity, but it is great to know that there is enough space.

I received an email from the vendor informing me that I would be receiving more blank dvd cards than I had ordered, presumably because it was the last order he would be filling. It was a 34% bonus that there were 67 cartridges in the package rather than 50! As soon as I found out that I had made an error, I called the supplier. I sent back the disc for a refund after being requested to do so by the supplier. I am awaiting a response from him.
In the future, my husband wants to add more pictures to this DVD Ram and use it for children's pictures. There is no guarantee that he can, since it needed to be finalized before it could be played, and only on one VCR. It will be interesting to see if he can add more pictures in the future. Those directions weren't very specific, as far as I remember.
