The watch has a stylish design while being very functional

The year 2000). As for the price, I thought $178 was fairly reasonable. The price of this smartwatch was very competitive with other smartwatches, and was significantly less than many others. Having owned only one smartwatch before, I am excited about it. Google Wear 2 is used in the watch. Based on my experience with a Samsung Galaxy S7, this is a review of the device from someone using an Android device. With the watch, you can use either iOS or Android. With a screen that is OLED and is rated IP67 for water resistance, this watch is very durable. There is a lot to love about the design of the watch. Despite its rose gold face, the watch has a silver band. I would describe it as a very subtle rose gold, since I see almost gold in it. My favorite band is the leather one because it's a subtle tan color that goes well with everything. I love the look of this watch. It appears very professional. It's cute and one of the few watches that doesn't look bulky on my wrist. Even though it is big, it doesn't overwhelm my wrist. I have very small wrists, so while the watch is a bit big, it does not scream bad taste. On the second to last hole, I clasp the strap, and it fits me well without shifting. A very simple process of syncing my watch with my phone was required. Follow the instructions to connect your watch with Android Wear after you have downloaded the app to your phone. It was very easy to set up and I had no trouble doing it. It was necessary for me to update my watch a few times when I first began using it to receive the latest security updates. The watch is now ready to go once all of its data is updated. The watch display on this watch is OLED and it looks fantastic. This Fossil watch features a fully round display so it doesn't have a flat tire feel to it like previous As of now, the watch interactions are flawless for me, and there are no delays or stutters. You are able to launch quick actions by swiping up the screen (airplane mode, turn the watch screen on/off, battery level display, do not disturb option, and settings). Right-clicking with your finger allows you to change the look of your watch. You can view your notifications by swiping down. You can review a notification simply by clicking on it, and at the bottom you can click the button to display more options (e. g. You can access your apps by clicking the crown button on the watch. Swiping the screen and scrolling through the list will allow you to explore the list. As far as scrolling through your lists is concerned, the crown's only function is to act as a button. The watch is relatively easy to use, and I've learned how to perform actions on it very quickly. My watch face is simply the default watch face you see in all of my examples. While holding down on the watch face you will be able to change the face. If you click on the bottom button, you can choose what is displayed other than the default (date, steps, time in a different time zone, and agenda). My battery display has been changed to show the date, the weather temperature, and the battery level placed the agenda at the bottom of the page. I guess I've been lucky so far with the battery life. Yesterday, I wore the watch for 12 hours and I never saw it go below 50%. (It was in the 50s when I put it back on the charger. ) I've had the watch on for four hours so far, and the battery is As a user, I do not check notifications all that frequently, but I do check them Although I have the always on display on, the tilt to wake function has been disabled. as though every time you moved your wrist, the watch would come to life. There would probably be a serious battery drain if you did that. Automatically, I have set the brightness. It does drain my phone's battery more quickly when the watch is paired, which is a complaint, but the watch itself has a very good battery. I have only downloaded a few apps to the watch so far. My favorite uses of Google Maps, Uber, and Google Play Music are those mentioned above. It's nice to have the Google Maps app around. When you turn the watch on, it will show you directions on the screen and vibrate short before it's time to turn. Simply enter your destination in the phone's Google Maps first, and then open the app on your watch. It is really cool to have this functionality on the watch, and if you don't have a car dock for your phone it allows you to check your watch rather than looking down at it. It's also nice that the Uber app lets you hail a car without getting your phone out. In the end, I uninstalled the Google Play Music app because I was dissatisfied with it. It didn't work for me when installing Play Music on my mobile, and I was hoping it would work when I pulled up Play Music. The watch has to be paired with either a Bluetooth speaker or headphones in order to be used. Regardless of whether Play Music is installed on my watch or not, despite opening it from my phone, I can play and pause the music directly I did not see the point of having the Play Music app on my watch directly. In addition to calculators and Google Keep for creating lists, you can also download Pandora, Spotify, and many other apps for the watch. It seems like there are a lot of apps to choose from. It is also possible to track steps with Google Fit, and to track your workouts. I haven't experimented much with these features. You're better off buying just a fitness watch if you primarily want a smartwatch to track steps or workouts. If you prefer smartwatches to track steps or workouts, you're better off buying a fitness watch instead. Although, if you intend to use these features from time to time, they are probably adequate with Google Fit. I haven't used them much, but I expect they are adequate. A text message is easy to send over the phone. My watch does not have texting shortcuts, but I saw some reviewers who had these on their watches. I am not sure if using Textra on my phone has an impact on this. It has the Google Keyboard built in. I can either voice-write the text or use the physical keyboard on the watch, which has a virtual keyboard. There are probably other keyboards in the Play Store that you can install. Because the keyboard is so tiny, it will be nearly impossible to type much with It's actually much easier to operate the keyboard by using a swipe, rather than the keys. While I do not use swipe texting on my phone, on the watch it may be the best way to text someone unless they have pre-installed the app You have saved up to five In addition to Google Assistant, the watch also has GPS. The Assistant will open as soon as you hold down the crown. I'm actually really impressed with the voice recognition. As with most features in Assistant, I haven't used this too much, but it is there for those who do. Additionally, my watch syncs with my Gmail account so I see my e-mails when I have them. Thank you very much for your assistance. I can now delete junk emails from my watch very easily. Every day I get a lot of emails on my phone, and since I only check this at the end of the day, much of it is junk. I can easily delete them from my watch without taking time out of my day. The charger that comes in the box consists of just a USB cable having a magnetic pad attached to it. The pad is attached to the back of your watch by clasping it. The watch is easy to use, but it would be nice if the cable came with the charger, or if the charger came with a docking stand. It seems like Fossil doesn't even make a docking stand for their watches, so I will likely order one. Now we come to the downsides of the In my opinion, the biggest negative is that there is no speaker on the watch. In the large Gen 3 Fossil Q Explorist, an audio speaker is provided. It's hard for me to decide whether the size of the Venture is the cause of the lack of speakers. By connecting the speaker to your watch, you would be able to take calls from it. Though I have no idea how much use this feature would get, it would still be nice if it existed. Furthermore, you cannot use Android Pay with this watch because it lacks NFC connectivity. Additionally, the device does not have an integrated It would be wonderful if this watch had a speaker and NFC, then it would be everything I would want in a smartwatch. I do not need a fitness watch since I have small wrists, and there are not many smartwatch options for me. Android user, so Apple Watch is not an option for me. Although there are a couple of disadvantages to this watch, I still like it very much. Because the speaker and NFC were not present, I lowered the rating by one star. My hope is that Fossil will have these features incorporated in their smaller sized smartwatches in the future. All in all, it's a great smartwatch, and I highly recommend it. With it, you get the basics of a smartwatch right and it also looks nice.

Do not rely on the warranty! I have updated I'm glad they made it so My wife received this watch as a birthday gift from me

This watch is pretty cool. Her favorite part of the trip was the train ride. Upon taking the caseback off her watch, she noticed that it was missing after two months of wearing it to charge it at night (it needs to be charged every night). Apparently it had fallen off during the day without her even being aware of it. As a result, the watch is no longer able to be used because all of its components This was very disappointing and surprised me. In order for watches to be water resistant, the casebacks need to Upon going to the Fossil website to request a warranty repair, I found out that the caseback does not have a warranty The watch will need to be sent to Fossil for repairs and I will have to pay $45 for the service. It was a complete waste of time to speak with Fossil customer service

This is the first and last Fossil watch I will buy in the future. We have way too many smartwatch options available on the market today. Here's an update In the end, Fossil Customer Service replaced the watch on 07/19/18 based on the follow-up.

I really like it
5/5

The watch has been on my wrist for a week and I am truly in love with it so far! It took me a long time to decide which smart watch to buy The Samsung watches I currently own aren't that great since I have a Galaxy S7. In my case, I wanted a smart watch with GPS features so that I could track my runs with it. I haven't tested this feature yet, however. The pros are The battery lasts a long time! I was able to keep the watch charged for almost two days with a full charge. Since I was mainly getting notifications and not running programs, I'm sure using the GPS to track my runs will use up a lot of battery power.
Style A lot of smart watches look too large and bulky on my small wrists and hands because I am a small woman. The sleek design and professionalism of this watch make it very impressive. Despite the fact that it seems more golden than rose gold in the image, the actual color looks the same as it does in the image. In a nutshell, functional relations are Using it and navigating through it is easy. The idea of texting people through it didn't occur to me to start with, but naturally it did. Although my hands are small, I have sausage fingers, but I was still able to text with relative ease because even on a small screen. • Weaknesses As far as I can tell, the only con I've encountered is that the original band it comes with is already dirty and scratched. It is quite easy to replace the bands since there are so many options available in many different styles, so for me, this has not led to a decrease in overall quality.
