5/5

Fossil is a brand I like a lot, but I normally buy quality purses, wallets, and such from them. Unlike most people, I was not attracted to these watches when I first came across them out in the world. There are a lot of things out there we don't need. I like technology all right, but there are just a lot of things we don't need. An analog watch is what I like best. There is a timer, a stopwatch, and it tells the time, and that's about all I really need. There is no screen on one of my Fitbit Flex2s but it can track my activity very well, notify me of phone messages, and alert me to them. Although "smart watches" are intriguing to me, they seem to miss the one true reason why anyone would ever own a watch in the first place to tell time. Many of them do not have the ability to tell time, and they all look terrible. When I was offered this Fossil Charter HR hybrid smartwatch, I was reluctant at first- it sat on my offers list for a while. However, after reading reviews and looking at what they could do, I thought I'd see if the good reviews were I am happy to say that it was a success. You're about to get a lot of information from me, so if you don't mind, it'll be all yours. I would like to first point out that the two large books you get with the watch don't tell you anything in a lot of As I use the watch over the last couple of days, almost all of the points I'm going to discuss in this review have come from my experience with it. I found it strange that some of these things weren't listed on Fossil's support page. By reading this book review, you are likely to discover several things you did not know before. Besides the categories, I broke it down into headings so you can read the whole thing or scroll for the one that catches your attention. COMPONENTS OF AN INSERT CLOCK/COSMETICS We'll begin with the key things that matter most to me, which are the use of the clock and the design of the watch. Despite its nice look, this watch makes me nervous due to its beautiful glass dome. I hope to have no problems with the glass. When your phone says what time it is, the watch does too, no matter what the time on your phone is. Why do people get on planes and fly to different time zones? So long as your watch's connection to your phone is intact, the watch will tell the time. Let's say you lost your phone on the plane (there's a handy watch feature. It stands to reason that even though we lack When you read it, you will see that An hour/minute mark is present on the clock. It can be unpalatable to some people that the dial is so large- It takes up the entire top of my arm, but I am used to it because I usually wear sport watches that are already quite large. It needs to be snug in order to keep track of your heart rate. There are different parts of my case with rosegold that are both shiny and matte. I love the color of the very light pink silicone band with the light gray backing, it is smooth and soft (not breathable so be aware and don't wear it too tight). This band is waterproof, but the watch is not, it is only "splash" resistant. It cannot be used for swimming or taking a shower. There is nothing more attractive and functional than this THOUGHTS ON THE If your hands are in the way while you read or select from a menu, wouldn't that make things difficult for you? When it's your turn, the hands move to the 3 and 9 positions, or if they're blocking your way, jerk your wrist back and forth really quickly and the hands do a lap around the clockface. By synching the watch with your phone, you will be able to use it. The screen appears to be touch sensitive, isn't it? I'll say no. I cannot express how happy I am to hear that. On the right side of the face are three buttons that can be used to select, choose, and change most things- This middle button serves as the home button, but it and the two other buttons can also act as more frequently used functions, mine are from top to bottom, workout mode, alerts/home, Using the app can also be used to accomplish these things. You have to tap the watchface in order for it to come on, but that is the only thing that resembles a touch screen- the light coming on when you turn it on or the time on the screen- This is a great flashlight that is readable in the dark without being too loud. There is a face to the technology Basically, you're using the same type of technology as a Kindle would use for a "paperwhite" type device, which is why you get 2 weeks or more out of the battery (it also depends on how many notifications you receive). Depending on what you see on your watch dials, you can decide what you want to use most. For me, I kept it the way it came - In addition to heartrate, local temperatures, steps and the date/day, I see my heart rate. It is possible to customize other aspects of the app if you like- In addition to 2nd time zones, battery life and chance of rain are other things you can choose. Despite picking your preferred functions to use or see all the time, you will still be able to access other functions from other screens it just takes longer to get to them. Aside from turning off the dials, you can also disable the clock. At this point, I found it a bit more interesting. Before I found the menu for it, I wasn't aware of With Fossil's app, you do not have to choose only from the few faces it offers, you can upload your own photos. The best way to see the entire face is to turn off the information dials (Bettie Page, the model in this review). I also took screen shots of mostly black and white patterns and made them into my own custom clock faces that are better than photos when the information dials are As a result, this watch face is highly functional and fashionable. I believe the technology of the system is You cannot call or text from the watch (no microphone, no accidental calls, and it does not have a screen--this is to my mind a GOOD THING. Ideally, you should not be more than 30 feet from your phone to be able to communicate with it. talk social stuff first. It comes with the ability to set up alerts from apps, texts/calls from all, or from people in your contact list. I do not want to be receiving messages and calls from everyone on my wearable device - I only want those from the people I am close to. My watch would send an alert once someone calls or texts me, so I had to go through my hundred contacts and take note of those who could get in touch. As long as you are within 30 feet of your phone, the watch will vibrate when you receive a message or a call. Your apps can be configured in a similar way. decide to turn all of them on at once, or you can choose which ones to bring on. This watch has received calls, texts, and notifications from apps since I bought it, and you can view the entire message/notification and choose to delete it as well (but only from the watch, it is not deleted from the phone) or read old notifications that have not yet been Initially, it took a little time for me to get used to it, because you have to select the message and scroll with the button, but it was pretty easy to figure out and I didn't have a manual to help Exercise physiology This tracker will do the normal stuff, such as track steps and heartbeat. Additionally, it will track whether the user is sleeping deeply and lightly. You can choose from the following options when you are in workout mode I exercised (probably like a class or DVD that has a variety of moves), jogged on the treadmill, elliptical, and I ran, too. They are weighted. When the timer goes off you need to stop it. My weights workout last night showed that I was active for 26 minutes 38 seconds, burned 130 active calories, averaged 123 BPM and topped out at 149 BPM. The workout added 810 steps to my life. What a cool thing to do. A wellness dashboard will show you how much you slept last night, how much you walked, how many minutes you spent active, how much you burned, and what your heart rate is right now as well as your maximum and minimum. Similarly, you have a typical move alert, where you can specify when it should start and stop and when it should stop if you have not There are some differences between this and the Fitbit, it does not let you set a goal step number for each hour of the day, but at least the move reminder is present. In addition, there are the following Ring your phone right now! Neither I nor anyone else I saw mentioned this. If you hold down the middle button while you are on the face screen, you'll be taken to a menu that, among other things, will ring your phone if you've misplaced it and it's still in range. It was a pleasant surprise to find that. There are three additional aspects of this watch that it can monitor besides what has been mentioned above Battery life, weather, and activity It is possible to choose between temperature or celsius to your current location (which has been accurate so far) or to display percentage of rain if you are outdoors. Alternatively, refer to another time zone or third day of the week. A quick look at the app Using the app was easy both the watch and the phone could be paired with it. A graph will appear on your home page to show you how far you have come to reaching your steps, active minutes, calorie burn, and sleep goals. You can tap the icons below the graph to see more graphs about your active times or your heartbeats during Under those are the days that have preceded it, so you can select those for a view as well. Under customization, you can pick how your watch face looks and what each dial and button does for a function. Several presets can be set, such as one for travel or fitness. Just create them and then apply them when you want - that includes changing the pattern on the watch case. You also have an alert category in which you can set up alarms (which can repeat or not), notifications for calls and texts, apps and moves. There is also your profile page where you have put in your name, height, and weight, displays your record days, your active watches (there can be more than one, so choose which one you are wearing), and the last sync time and where you can calibrate the watch if necessary. Also available are the option to set goals, change passwords, pick your preferred units (like feet instead of centimeters), choose connected apps (there are only two at this time, under armour record and google fit), and an opt in selection, as well as email and chat help options. As with any app, we have an about section with terms of use, privacy and other information. As with any app, you are free to log out if you want. Despite my skepticism, I am very happy with this watch. It has proven very useful and does far more than I had expected and is far more functional and fashionable than I anticipated. There is no doubt in my mind that it should be recommended.

An amazing watch that is absolutely gorgeous
5/5

The watch I own now is the most beautiful I've ever seen. Even though it feels as if it is of top quality, it costs much more than my piece of crap silicone and plastic Fitbit Versa which broke irreparably . . . is that the design is sleek, dressed up, and it tells me basically all the information I need. I love the fact that the app tracks my sleep habits, my heart rate, my steps, the weather, etc. I also really love that it has a stopwatch. In the gym, I frequently use this device. Although it is a rather basic app, it appears to work well and syncs quickly. In the end, if you want to become a serious runner or you need a serious fitness tracker, than this watch probably isn't In contrast, if you want to follow the basics and look good at the same time, check out the following You need to pick that baby up! Nonetheless, I am delighted with this watch right now and I totally plan to update my review if my opinion changes.

The watch is perfect! I absolutely love it
5/5

My decision to buy this product was based on extensive research of several others. My goal was to find a watch that looked classic, wasn't too "smart", and I also wanted to add some smart features. As a result, this product was a perfect fit. This app is great because I can customize the face with pictures and choose which applications I want to see. When you tap it, it backlights so that it is easy to read and very similar to paper white technology. I have an easy way to see my notifications, and through my fossil app on my phone, I can control which notifications I see and which I don't. Besides the timer, notifications, health, and other quick access buttons on the side, the side buttons are well-designed and tight. of the black model that I bought are highly visible in the dark and make it easy to read without having to back light. The leather band that came with the black model is very nice and I purchased a stainless band to use every day so as to not destroy I was able to complete the process easily and painlessly with all my Batteries last for a certain amount of time depending on how much the watch is used. The battery on my phone usually lasts about a week to a week and a half when I have more notifications and alarms set. It has taken me almost 2 weeks easy to get the information out of my text messages when I kept only my text messages in there. A fast charge is provided by this battery. It has been about a month since I got my watch, and for the most part it has been accurate in terms of steps and heart rate. Overall, though, if I am using my hands (such as knitting) my step count can sometimes slip I recommend this watch for anyone who does not require their watch to be an extension of their phone with apps, but who wants a good watch that can do just a bit more than just tell the.
