Nevertheless, the suit was perfect! I love you! It runs a little large. There is no gaping or showing of private parts on the bottom of this suit, since the legs and thighs stay tight. Despite it being adorable, the suit is just as durable as any other suit you can find. It is a typical build for my daughter, who is 7 years old and weighs 50 lbs with a 48" height. This is the size 5/6 that she is wearing (122). The size 7/8 (140) (her normal clothing size is 8) was much too large on her. It was a good fit on top, but way too loose on the bottom.
This is a gift for myself and my daughter, 4, who is 4. The 4T-shirt is what I ordered for her I bought a 5t, and it fits perfectly. It was too small in the cup area of the XL top that I ordered for myself. 36D is the size I wear. Our reference was the black tie top with the pink bottoms and crisscross detailing.
It is so much fun for me and my eight-year-old granddaughter to dress alike, and we fell in I have gotten numerous compliments on them since they fit as expected, are reasonably priced, and I had gotten several compliments on them! I am sure she is much cuter in hers than I am in mine, but I don't mind at all! Purchasing from this store was an A++++ experience!.
A word of caution about the bottom they sent the one pictured is not the one they sent. Although it is green, it does not have the high waist shown in the picture. Because my daughter loves the matching suits -- she's always dreamed of having them -- I'm keeping it. However, if it had been just for me, I would have returned it. There is a very small range of sizes for kids.
My normal ordering behavior for swimsuits is not to buy them online, since I need to try them on first. I absolutely love how this swimsuit fits and how flattering it is! It is too small for my 5-year-old daughter, so I ordered her a 4T- I bought a size 5t for her and she also fits perfectly. She normally wears a small 6 so swim suits run big on her so I think that the 4- fits her perfectly I think you made a good choice with 5.
I've never worn anything like this before. All of these suits have washed up perfectly and still look good. I have a daughter who loves matching, and these are perfect for one who prefers more coverage, though they can show some cleavage if you have a large chest.
