Full stretched out, it measures 20 inches in circumference. I have an elongated calf circumference of 14 inches at its widest point, so the socks fit I walk around with them up, but when I hike with them, I notice a few inches of slipping down.

These socks actually did stay up and they are actually warmer than a pair of merino wool socks - I was pleasantly surprised! I bought some socks with a blend of colors. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that they shrunk in the height after washing, and I liked them better before washing. Although some shorter people (I have a height of 5' 4"), a bit of shrinkage could be fine. I just hope they won't shrink with every wash. Suppose a dry cycle takes place. I have large legs, and the boots do not bind or fall down during the day. The books have been purchased several times already, and I may buy more if they go on sale in the future. They stay up well even if they feel loose unless I go for an intense hike in which case they only slip down an inch of The extra cushioning beneath my feet is nice without making my shoes feel bulky, as I have neuropathy in my feet. Since I don't have diabetes, these fit perfectly and don't feel Only thing that keeps me from giving these socks 5 stars is that I really love the Yomandamor Women's Mild (8 - We would like to offer 15 mmHg) compression socks more, but this is not possible at this time.

These are thicker in the bottom, so they shouldn't wear out too fast. After about 2 inches above the ankle, the weave changes to a more open weave all the way up the leg. There are no pressure issues causing swelling due to this. While the socks may slip a bit, less than an inch to be exact, they remain intact as the rest of the socks are.
