Material from the sides is too much

As I normally wear the same size with all my clothes, I ordered the same size. This is certainly odd, but it does make sense. As the skirt hangs naturally, there is just too much extra material on the sides of my hips, just because the waist is fitted. Making me appear to be much larger than I am.

My favorite part of the fabric was the texture. A charming print and soft material made for a perfect outfit. The pockets make the hips appear bulky on me, and I already have plenty of fluff stuck around there, so I didn't find it flattering at all. I was so smitten with it that I contemplated the possibility of cutting the pockets out.
