Your waist would be too tight in a 12 so I would go for a size 14. I recommend you try it out and see if it does make a difference
There are about 5 of them. This is a similar short to the Amazon Essentials Women's 5" Inseam Chino.
It has back pockets, like my Lee shorts do. They are not sagging open since they're tack closed on the inside of the shorts- these are real pockets, but they're tacked shut to keep them from sagging- Over the derriere, the fit should be smooth. Pockets can be used by trimming the threads holding them closed however, they are not user-friendly.
The size chart is nowhere to be found. If you have a waist measurement of 36", you would wear a size 12-14 Since they have a bit of give in them, they should fit your hip size just fine.

They fit perfectly.
These are the same shorts I ordered along with the Lee Straight Fit Tailored Chino Shorts. These are a bit tighter, but they are still fairly comfortable, so I expect to keep My bellybutton is just covered by them, right at my waistline. Only one thing I dislike about this jacket is that the back pockets are almost completely closed. It is small enough to fit through a narrow object, such as a pen. The reason they'd do that is unclear given that there is already enough money in the pocket. The material is really great aside from that. We like it because it is soft & comfortable For the summer, lightweight is ideal. In order to give you an idea of my size, I ordered a 10. In addition to the Lee shorts and shirt I own several others. It was pretty easy to fit them all. The height of my body is 5'9", the weight is 150 lbs The user weighs 160 pounds, has a waist of 30 inches, and a height of 5'7". He has a 40" hip measurement.
A good pair of pants that fits well and is of good quality. For other ladies and girls out there, I want to let you know that the back pockets, like those of a good quality short or pants, are stitched closed and have a white tread that has to be removed in order to open them. The product would be a good buy.
Size 6 was a good fit for me. This is a great pair of shorts that fit well in both the hips and waist, and have just enough stretch to make them extremely comfortable. I usually find that shorts and pants have WAY too much room in the waist. There are multiple colors in my order, however not all of them are identical. Those which are 97 percent cotton and 3 percent spandex fit my body best. I also like the solid color shorts (98% cotton/2% spandex), but they are a bit heavier and a Chambray is a lightweight and comfortable fabric for the summer, which looks completely different from denim or corduroy. The total number of pairs I have now is five (all different colors).
The short I purchased in white in size 8 fit perfectly, I ordered it in all colors as well. Unfortunately, the colors that came in fit a whole size smaller than the white, as you can see in the attached photo. To find the perfect fit, you may want to order two sizes. Although cotton shorts might not be the best option for hiking if your local area is humid. If you live somewhere that is humid, cotton shorts are not from going to be a great option. The shorts are in my wardrobe, but I'm not sure if I'll keep them. The height and weight of this writer are 5 ft. 5 and 123 pounds, respectively.
It fit perfectly on me, even though I have a small waist and short, muscular legs and I'm 128 pounds and 5'4" tall. The sizing of this product is inconsistent in my opinion. There were some that fit tighter than others out of 5 pairs I bought. Since there is a lot of stretch in this exercise, a few deep knee bends can straighten up the situation!.
