Questions & Answers

Do you get as much warmth from this as the flannel-style... Can you please tell me if Sandstone is quilted?

With one of Carhartt's warmest linings, this style will keep you warm all winter long.

What is the equivalent of a 3xl ?

The answer to that question is not something I know. I am really sorry. If you'd like to try on one at a local store, you can do so

How does it compare to a relax fit? Is this oversize?

A relaxed fit is what I would say. Usually I wear the same size as my clothes, so I sized up to ensure it was spacious enough for me. There was nothing disappointing about it. The size is large enough without being Layers can be worn underneath and I still have plenty of room. The back of my shirt should cover my rear end. Rubbing at the cuffs keeps the sleeves in place and keeps them from being The size I purchased is a 3X for women. It is the best coat I have ever owned.

Is this coat susceptible to shrinkage after it has been washed?

The jacket I've washed and dried didn't shrink despite being washed and dried

Selected User Reviews For Carhartt Women's Active Jacket Wj130 (Regular and Plus Sizes)

The coat should be solid
5/5

Five feet five inches, 145 pounds, and I opted for the small size. In fact, I ordered a medium as well since I am in between sizes on the chart and it seems that reviews were mixed (and many of the reviews and sizing questions came from people who bought the jacket for their spouse or girlfriend). No matter how much I layered underneath, the medium was too big for me. In general, this is a great jacket that I am very happy with. This is a heavy fabric, but it is super comfy right out of the box. They have nice pockets and good coverage on the butts, and the new cuffs are very cool. There was some stiffness in the main zipper, but it worked perfectly fine. I would definitely recommend. I can see myself wearing it for years to come.

I would like to see you if you're tall
3/5

My favorite thing about this jacket is the color! A color I love, and thinsulate lining I love! Although it fits well everywhere else, the shoulders are a bit tight and the sleeves seem a bit shorter than they should be. Otherwise, it would have been a 5 star review. The jacket isn't at fault for my size, but I weigh 270 lbs and stand 6 feet tall. I would buy it in a heartbeat if they released this jacket in a womens tall size. My guess is that if you are shorter, this jacket would fit perfectly for you! I would recommend that if you wish to wear a heavy hoodie it should be worn with a sweatshirt under it.

I have the feeling that the size isn't true to size and the zipper is too fiddly
3/5

Since I have owned this style of Carhartt for over 15 years, it's part of my wardrobe. A new version of this is available. The fit is good because it is closer to the body. As a carpenter, I work outdoors in all kinds of weather all year round, as well as caring for my family's farm, and so I buy Carhartt less for style than for its durability, comfort and layered functionality. The new cuff looks great, and I hope it holds up well compared to that of the old style, which frayed along the stretch cuff's connection with It's not very layered wholly, but it has narrower sleeves, so there isn't much space. In addition, it fits closer around the waist. Since I still have my original coat, I can assure you that it does not fit the same way as it used to. There is also no rugged zipper on the bag, so zipping it is a hassle. There is also a smaller tab, as well as smaller teeth, which catch on the fabric by the zipper, so that it needs to be fussed with a bit to zip. I tried going up to a Large to get layering capabilities, but I found that that was a bit too much for I had the sleeves dragging down over my hands and the bottom of the top hanging loose. My order was set at the Medium size, but I'm going to miss the ability to layer this garment as it's great for cooler weather, but it feels tight especially around the arms and shoulders, especially beneath a heavy sweatshirt. My only issue is that I cannot layer it because there is such a big difference between the medium and large sizes. I will wear it in moderate temperatures, but am disappointed that they changed the sizing. I found the coat to be a perfect fit These days, it's not so bad.

It's a nice jacket with quality materials
4/5

My favorite brand of clothes is Carhartt, and I have been wanting to get one My height and weight are 5' 6" and 220 lbs, so I am concerned about their sizing. The XL is a good fit for me, with plenty of Probably not a great deal of difference between a large and a small. As a result, I am thinking about exchanging it for a smaller size. I won't be wearing a hoodie under it, so I could probably do without a hood.

Take into account the size, but make sure the quality is good
4/5

I think this is a very well made jacket that would keep you In my case, I had to return one because I ordered a size up (usually do with jackets for wearing sweaters beneath), but the suit was overly large. Obviously not wrong, but the fact that I could not use it made it ineffective It is best to order your regular size if you plan on layering, or order a size down if you don't plan on wearing layers. There is no denying that this jacket weighs a lot, so it isn't something lightweight. There is a huge price gap between sizes at the moment which means I will not be able to reorder in the correct size.

This is a great coat from Carhartt
5/5

I've mainly worn men's Carhartt clothes for years, but I really like this coat and love the color and the fit, more feminine than men's ones, and it's warm that's for sure. As a result of previous reviews, I ordered a medium, but it was too small in the armpits and shoulder area, so I exchanged it The height of my torso is 5' 7". A NEW UPDATE The 11/1 2020 large is still slightly snug in the arms when you bend them and across the In a review, someone wrote If you want to wear a sweatshirt underneath, you should size up A size XL would have been more appropriate, I agree.

Beautiful jacket
5/5

I want it in my closet. This jacket appeals to me very much. The color is beautiful. A great feature of the jacket is that it is not thick but is still very In comparison to some other Carhartt jackets, this one is flexible and not rigid. As for me, I like how the jacket fits in the arm and how long it is, but I am not as tall as most because I am 5"4. My sweater is roomy enough that I can put a large one underneath without feeling confined. A plus sized coat made for plus-size women, that's what it feels like to me. I would like thumb holes if I were able to request anything! It would make this jacket even more perfect if it had that. The purchase was good overall, but I won't buy it There are a few other colors that would be nice as well.

I bid you farewell, North Face, and welcome to Carhartt! It's so cute and comfortable! I love it! It's been a few years since I wanted one, since my North Face fleece doesn't really suit me that well
5/5

I now have The medium is the perfect fit for me as I am 5'2" and 140 pounds. I wear a sweatshirt underneath (Amazon suggested a small) and it fits like a glove! You will have to go a size up if you want to wear sweatshirts under your jackets.
