Material: 5% Spandex, 95% Rayon It's the most comfortable thing you'll ever own. It's what my daughter wears under her black tights as a top. She claims that once it wears out, she will use it as a nightshirt.
Yes, I believe so. I'm a 3X and they're perfect for me. Normally, I wear a 26-inch top. This equates to a 3X multiplier of 28.
fits a true XL person
It wasn't until I got it that I realized what had happened. It was written on the package. It's a Chinese product.

I adored it and looked everywhere for something similar, but I couldn't find anything. The closest thing I could find was at Walmart or Kohls, but they couldn't compare to or beat the comfort of the one I found at Goodwill. I searched high and low for this night gown two years later, and yay, I was lucky enough to find it on Amazon. I'm 5'4", 220 pounds, and a 14-inch waist. In jeans, I'm a size 16 and my bottom is a size larger. I'm not a fan of nightgowns that are too form-fitting. I got the black in an XL and it's perfect. It's a little big, and I could have gotten away with a Medium, but I prefer my nightgowns to be roomy and comfortable. I'm a mother of two, and it feels like I'm sleeping in a silky soft cotton t-shirt or sheet. The nightgown is light and airy. It isn't the most sexiest nightgown, but it is the most comfortable, and this mom will take that and a good night's sleep over anything else. It's ideal for pregnant women, women who have had surgery, women who suffer from night sweats, and women who are dealing with hormonal issues. I hope this company keeps making this night gown in the same style for the rest of time. I went for the one with pleats and no buttons and a looser sleeve. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this! I rarely leave feedback, but I had to share this because I adore it!.
This is a lovely evening gown. Everything about it appeals to me, including the feel, color, and fit. EXCEPT- It was only recently that I realized it was causing me to become ill. It was delivered to me on Tuesday. I washed it right away and put it on that night. I had a severe headache, nausea, and heartburn when I awoke on Wednesday morning. I assumed it was a bug because my husband had experienced something similar the weekend before. The headache faded as the day went on, but it was still there. Wednesday night, I put the nightgown back on. I awoke with a severe headache and a lot of pressure behind my eyes again on Thursday morning. The pain subsided throughout the day, and I felt better. I put on the nightgown again on Thursday night. I wasn't in the best of moods as I drifted off to sleep. I had a reoccurring headache, heartburn, and strange tingling pains all over my body. Thank God, it dawned on me that something in the nightgown's fabric could be the source of the problem. I jumped out of bed and changed out of my nightgown right away. I returned to my bed, feeling much better. I didn't have a headache the next morning. After doing some research, I discovered that the way rayon is processed leaves a lot of toxic chemicals in the fabric. The fact that I am a pre-adolescent I'm menopausal and woke up hot and sweaty while wearing it, which most likely increased my exposure- My pores were opened as a result of this. According to one source, rayon should be washed at least three times before being worn. I'm going to take it a step further and wash it four or five times before putting it on again. To summarize, the gown is lovely, but it should be washed several times before being worn.
cotton vs. rayon for the purpose of my sleeping clothes This gown is adorable, and I double-checked the reviews to make sure it wasn't made of polyester. I checked the tag and it said 95% cotton when it arrived. But it felt strange, so I washed it, and it didn't really change, as cotton knits usually do after washing. I was hot and uncomfortable after sleeping half the night in it. So I did a burn test on a small piece of the inside edge of the hem where there was some excess and found that cotton will flame/burn, but polyester will melt and become a hard ball. Let me tell you something. WHAT IS POLYESTER? Despite the fact that it said cotton on the label. I gave it back to her. So, how can you be sure you're getting a good deal?.
The fit is loose and comfortable. The material is light and airy. I think I'll be fine tonight, but it'll be the first time I've worn it. The initial impression is positive. I'll update this if I change my mind tomorrow. It has a large fit. I could have probably gotten away with a small, but I'm 5'3" and 147 pounds, so I usually go for a large. I needed a medium after reading the reviews. It is quite substantial. That's fine by me. Super comfy and appropriate for wearing in the company of my kids' overnight visitors.
It has a nice flow to it and hides the stomach bloat. The material appears to be of excellent quality. What else is there to say? I think it's a fantastic purchase, and I believe others will as well. I haven't washed it yet because I just tried it on, but I don't think that will be an issue.
As the summer heat sets in, I wanted something that I could wear around the house and sleep in that wasn't too flimsy or light. I just got this the other day and I'm in love with it! The material is extremely comfortable. If I have to go outside, it drapes beautifully without being thin or clingy; however, I'm not crazy about the dips in the hemline at the center front. So I might stitch them up and straight across the back, but that's a design feature, not a quality feature. As I wear it, I'll see how well the stitching holds up. a few times in the washing machine I'm hoping for a good turnout because I'd like to order a few more. Oh, and I sized it down a size from my usual and it fits perfectly.
These shirts are one of my favorites because: 1) they are extremely comfortable and breathe, 2) they are not see-through, so I can wear them around the house without blushing or hiding behind a robe, and 3) they are easy to turn in bed without becoming tangled. Oh, and they're still beautiful after ten washes.
