It falls below the knees of my granddaughter, who is 5'10".
I am 5'5 and weigh 210 pounds, and I found this to be a little looser than I expected. I usually order a 2x in Columbia jackets, but I exchanged it for a 1x. I usually wear a size 18 or 20, depending on the occasion.
According to the Columbia website, this jacket is too small for me. I normally wear a 14/16, but to layer, I needed a 1x.
It keeps the hood in place and prevents it from falling down over your eyes.

I'm looking for something that's light, breathable, packable, and water-resistant. Everything is included in this coat. I've been looking for a light raincoat to replace a $130 fancy-dress raincoat. brand coat that has (sigh) become too small for my growing matronly hips I'm a big fan of Columbia's winter coats, so I decided to give their raincoat a try. To be honest, I'm hoping to drop a size or two, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I won't need for a long time. I'm so glad I chose Columbia for my jacket! It's nice and light, and unlike some other raincoats, it doesn't make a lot of crinkly noise. This is long enough to cover my hiney without being too long for my 5'65" frame. The front is a little shorter and hits me about halfway up my thighs. It's great that it's a two-for-one deal. If I want to, I can open the bottom zip while sitting. The hood is secured in place. It doesn't have a drawstring, but the zipper extends past my chin, keeping the hood in place (as seen in the dorky photo). The rim is deep enough to prevent drips from dripping down my face. I also like that the second closure, next to the zipper, is snaps rather than velcro; it's much more appealing! There is one small zip pocket inside (which I wish was larger). The coat has a slim fit and is very comfortable to wear. not boxy. I am a size 16 bottom and an xl top, and I was able to wear this 1x coat with a medium weight sweater underneath it comfortably. The sleeves have velcro closures that can be tightened in strong winds. I've always preferred black and was hesitant to purchase the blue, but I'm glad I did. The color is a smoky blue with small checks on it. Even if I ever manage to lose a few pounds, I'd choose this over the 'fancy' brands I've tried in the past!.
I've heard mixed reviews about the fit of this jacket, but it's true to size, if not slightly larger than expected in my experience. I weigh 220 pounds and stand 5'4" tall. I ordered an XXL, but I could have gotten an XL- instead. On me, the XXL has plenty of room. That said, it still looks good; it's not particularly flattering, but it's also not unattractive. It also keeps me dry in the rain, which is the most important feature. I wish the hood had a drawstring to keep it from blowing away from my face, but that's just a matter of personal taste. It's surprisingly warm for being so light, thanks to the fact that it cuts the wind.
It's just a tad too long for someone who is 5" tall. The color, subtle print, length (it hits me mid-thigh), and cut are all modern and rugged. No, not the chubby old lady plus-size nonsense that drives me insane. But it's the breathable construction that I particularly like: This jacket is completely waterproof, but it won't make you sweat like a human sauna. This is a non-starter for me because I live in the Pacific Northwest. negotiable, and I've spent decades and a lot of money looking for a coat that met those criteria at a reasonable price (this coat cost less than I was willing to pay for something I liked). This is the rain jacket of my dreams, and I think I'll keep it for the rest of my life.
This is exactly what I've been looking for in a rain jacket!! It's comfortable, well-made, and I just walked around outside in it for a while. There was no sign of a leak or a dribble of sweat. br>br>It makes a little noise when you move, so if that bothers you, this coat isn't for you. It's all good because I'm more concerned with staying dry and comfortable than with remaining unseen.
I went with the 1x size. It's not completely white - it's a shade of grey. It's a lovely, light pattern that gives the jacket an almost white, icy blue appearance. I'm 5'8", 190 lbs, and I'm straight up and down (no curves, but a big bust. ) The t-shirt fit perfectly. Jeans with a shirt br>It's not like it's made of cheap, obnoxious plastic. Fabric for a ky windbreaker. It's a lot quieter, but it still makes some noise. br>I really like how it fits. On cool winter days in central Texas, it's a nice light jacket to throw on.
I've been a size 3X for a long time. All of the garments in this size are always very roomy for me, and if the size was as expected, I would have given it ten stars!.
This coat is appealing to me. I've decided to keep it, but it's far from perfect: the size up was ridiculously large, and this jacket is almost too tight. The difference in jacket sizes is due to either poor production control or an incorrect size chart; in either case, Columbia must improve. Only buy this if you know you'll be able to return or exchange it without difficulty.
The material used to make this coat is of exceptional quality. It's very light, and it fits perfectly. My mother is a big fan of the hue.
