The outline of the pad can be seen underneath (physically), but the white camisole is completely opaque. It's obvious that there's a pad underneath, but it's not visible. I hope this explanation was clear and helpful.
I'm 5'2" and 130 pounds, and I'm wearing a size small. They're incredibly soft, but they're also a little clingy. They're worn under shirts, and they're far from perfect!
Yes, it has a padded shelf bra, and I adore these tanks, except that the white one was impossible to whiten after it had been stained.
I'm 5'3", 165 pounds postpartum, and a 38B when I ordered these. I ordered a large but received a medium, which is a good thing because the large would have been way too big otherwise. The mediums are a perfect fit and are still a little long, but not in an uncomfortable way. I hope this information is useful.

But I thought these nursing tank tops were so worth it that if anyone was on the fence about purchasing them, I hope they read my review and do themselves a favor and buy them. These tank tops are incredibly soft and comfy! They're simple to use and have removable pads. They have a nice look to them, so you can wear them out without looking like your girlfriends are hanging down to your belly button. I also waited to write this review until I'd washed the tank tops to see how well they held up, and I'm happy to report that they're still just as great.
I'm 5'4", but I'm a full 36C now that I'm pregnant. I was a 32C during my pregnancy. 34C. I needed something that was both comfortable and didn't feel too tight around my rib cage while sleeping. I bought a Medium based on all of the positive reviews, and they are exactly as described! This top is so comfy that I didn't mind sleeping in it, which is unusual for me because bras are usually too tight around my rib cage when I sleep. It's also stretchy enough to fit my 39-week-pregnant belly. There's a lot of space in the bra area - A large would have been far too big. They didn't shrink at all after being washed.
These nursing tops are ideal for women who have recently given birth. They've been my home since I was born two weeks ago. There's no need to wear a nursing bra because the cups are removable; I removed them and it's still a soft and thick enough fabric to be flattering. The price was well worth it. If you're breastfeeding, this is a must-have item. I took them with me to the hospital and have been wearing them ever since.
The material has some elasticity, so you won't feel as if you're being "held in" around your midsection. The padding in a shelf bra hides the appearance of nursing pads (or absorbs leaks if you don't want to use them). They've been washed several times and are still in good condition. I only wish I could buy a pack of just white ones because that is the color I prefer to wear.
They come in handy in a pinch. However, if you want your girls to be supported and not slide down, and if you don't want them to sweat more than their armpits, these aren't for you. The fabric isn't breathable, so I wake up drenched every morning. Furthermore, no matter how tight the straps are tightened, they provide no support. Your already uncomfortable breasts are smushed flat downward, which is neither comfortable nor flattering.
The plastic bag had already been opened, and the items I received had clearly been used. They smell like laundry detergent, which makes them even more disgusting. Now I have to drop it off to return it, which will take extra time and effort. I'm very disappointed!.
I was unable to use them. When you fold down the pad area to nurse your baby, the inner pad folds into the fabric as well. How? It's a mystery to me. That shouldn't be the case! The inner pad is significantly smaller than it should be, which is the only explanation. You've just spent a few minutes unfolding it for the first time. It takes a lot of effort. The fabric is pleasant to the touch, and the colors are appealing. It has a lot of stretch. Bummer! 😞.
These are incredibly soft and cozy. When I'm not pregnant, I'm 5'5" and weigh around 135 pounds. I purchased a medium and it is the perfect size for me. They stretch well over my belly, even though I'm 8 months pregnant. It's not too tight or uncomfortable in the least. I'm confident that once I'm done nursing and my belly is gone, these will be ideal. The clasps are simple to use. These do have the bra pads that can be removed. It's very cozy and adorable. I wish there were more colors available to choose from.
