This works out so great for nursing (while wearing my ergo carrier I might add) I want to get other colors because it is so convenient. I'm usually between sizes medium and large, and I got a large because I'm a 36DDDD. I would say the thickness is about the same as a thin sweatshirt or thick shirt, and it's not that thin like a normal shirt. reference, I am 5'6" and weigh 150 pounds. I just gave birth a month ago so I still have a little bit of belly, but the large is just loose enough to fit rather well, without pulling on my fat so you can't tell it's there. 100 percent of the time I recommend. This hoodie was a perfect fit and feel for the most part, but I had to return it because the front flap did not come down far enough to hide my breasts.
