I don't have any recommendations, but the necklace is packaged in a plastic bag and comes on a piece of cardstock. They would work fine if you saved them because the chain is so small. I wouldn't recommend anything too large because the chain is so thin and doesn't take up a lot of space to store.
That's something I've noticed on a few different pieces of jewelry as well. When I read the description, it says gold plated, which contradicts the title. That is extremely aggravating. You should trust the description rather than the title and look for a different company because this jeweler obviously doesn't know the difference.

That is not the case. It's made of brass with a gold finish. I have one and love it, but it isn't pure gold, so there isn't a 14k marker on it.
