The chain slides through a loop on the pendant. I can adjust the length of the necklace by using chains of various lengths. I didn't like the chain that came with the pendant, so I went out and bought a longer sterling silver chain that looks great.
Because the item is attached to a chain, I'm not sure.
This isn't a locket, and it can't be opened.

This necklace should not be purchased, in my opinion. The necklace tarnished and turned an unsightly green color within 6 weeks of being worn. For my mother's birthday, I gave it to her. I felt completely humiliated. This is not something you should buy for yourself, and it is certainly not something you should buy for someone you care about.
My girlfriend sent me these pictures after 2 weeks of use; I feel terrible because I gave her this necklace as a gift, and I know it isn't the best necklace, but I certainly hope it will last longer than 2 weeks; nothing about this necklace is worth the embarrassment. br>br>I've finally figured out what I needed to know. Never purchase jewelry via the internet!.
This was a Christmas present from my fiancée. I was ecstatic because the color and setting are so lovely. I noticed that the metal appeared to be of poor quality. I couldn't find any 925 or karat marks to indicate the metal's quality. So, as I usually do with gifts from my SO, I looked up the post on Amazon before deciding to wear the item 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I was surprised to see that the necklace is described as "white gold plated," but that it is brass plated rhodium further down in the details. No. This isn't even close to being worth $50! My poor fiancée, who isn't particularly tech-savvy, was duped into paying five times the price for a $10 item! I returned the item as soon as it began to turn colors and reveal its true value. br>br>You, the seller, should be ashamed of the way you phrased your offer. Be open and honest about the products you're offering. You will be dealt with by Karma at some point.
This was a present for my mother on Mother's Day. Imagine my surprise when I opened it to find a small plastic bag containing two broken metal pieces, no heart, and nothing else. This is incredibly distressing. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I'm returning.

It's a much lighter blue than in the photo, and it's also a lot smaller- Basically, it looks much better in the seller's photo than what you get; I've purchased similar items before, but this one didn't get much attention; I'll keep looking.
This is something I bought for my wife, and she adores it. The only minor flaw is that it has a tendency to flip over, exposing the necklace's back.
