Because I was unsure of how my husband would fit in a 13 wide, I got him a 13W, and it fit well. Isn't it best to get it in a half-size smaller for your guy due to Sperrys tending to
Please accept my apologies for this listing glitch. A medium width can be described as such. That should help a bit.
Shoes for men are only available in M size at Sperry
As I recall, the sizes have remained the same for the last 6 years

Why are these shoes not as good as they used to be. The Sperry Top Sider deck shoes have been my favorite for over 30 years because they are very comfortable and high quality. But I will be saying goodbye to these shoes. There is an extremely low level of quality. Although the fit was a little tight when new, that is fine since deck shoes need to be soaked and then worn until completely dry, so you get them to fit right. Having worn these shoes now that they are no longer made in the USA, I can tell you that they bleed dye all over your feet if you get them wet (they are deck shoes, therefore they are supposed to get wet). Those rings through which the side lacings pass are no longer solid rings and have bent outward, creating pointy metal thorns that can cut your opposite leg if you brush your feet against them (which happens frequently when getting into a boat and climbing ladders). So, with that in mind if you are buying shoes not intended as deck shoes and you will not be wearing them in any locations where they will get wet, they may be okay. Keep these shoes off your feet if you plan to sail or boat in them. It is with great sadness that I learn about the passing of what I considered to be an American.
Sperrys are not a brand I will be purchasing again. I am incredibly dissatisfied.
Even though they were ordered as 2E "Wide", they are too narrow, despite the length (size) being correct. Earlier in my life, I wore Sperry "boat-style" shoes For decades, after I have to replace my "moc's", I have found that the point of manufacture has moved deeper into third-world countries and the size (mostly width) has gotten smaller and smaller. You can also expect that if you wear these shoes without socks (like they are intended to be worn), the insole will come loose after a short time. The only good thing about these boots is that the leather uppers "breathe" and should probably last forever, with the soles decaying.
I am extremely disappointed! I bought a version of this shoe that's very cheap, but the fit is fine. The Sperry shoe has been a part of my wardrobe Unlike other commenters, I noticed that the liner/footbed insert was only in half the shoe and was not completely Socks are not worn if you wear them without them It is a good idea for you- Take your foot out, and the insert sticks to the bottom of the foot and pulls off. As soon as it started, it became a serious issue. Sperry's have taken years to reach this point in the past. Sperry thought it would add cushioning to the heel by making some type of air pocket in it, but that was not how it worked. The heel of the shoe was completely destroyed by the heel cap, which was unnecessary. In fact, the front edge of the heel is so soft that when standing still with any weight on the heel, it presses against the sole of your foot. In addition to being uncomfortable, it is unbearably irritating. Those considering buying these shoes should try them on before purchase or at the very least, before they do damage to the soles and can't be returned. This is one pair of shoes that Sperry messed up terribly. It won't be worth it to buy them unless they correct the problem. The LL Bean Camp Moc or Bass or something like that is probably what I'm going to choose. My old Sperrys were a real disappointment because I loved them so much.
Do not purchase. The Hon. S. Writing this review has been difficult for me as I don't want to leave anyone in the wrong I will admit, however, that this shoe is an absolute rip-off. This shoe was purchased for my fiance, and after wearing them for just a week they began to fall apart. The entire front end of the shoes is ripped. I'd say that the shoe is worn already and resold because it looks like it is already being worn. Upon bringing it to a shoe repair shop, the man informed us that it was a knock-off of Sperry brand shoe, and we were not able to repair it due to how it was constructed. Almost 5 years ago, I purchased a Sperry brand of shoes and wore them until recently. As you can see, I am displeased that the shoes only lasted a week for a shoe that cost this much. It was a knockoff shoe I bought with my money.
Although I have high expectations of Amazon, this purchase may be the last time I purchase a shoe from the site.
tend to melt to the sides when it comes to the souls of the interior. There really isn't a way for me to describe it other than it just seems the glue must be bad because the insert is slowly shifting to the side and down to the toe box. Having ripped out the insoles, I replaced them with new ones and so far they have stayed in place, but these are a knock off pair as I have owned numerous pairs of Sperry's and I have never experienced anything near this level of discomfort.
Despite the fact that I had been wearing them daily, I really liked the first pair. With this pair, I will at least take a break from them on alternate days and they will I need another pair so I can go more navy - my wife of course liked these and said I needed a second pair of them as well. There are a variety of colors available, so I'll have to check. I find them to be very comfortable and at this price I wouldn't mind wearing them at the dog park (as well as to my office).
Over the years, I have worn out and worn in this exact pair of shoes so many times we would be amazed. My experience with other brands, and quite frankly other styles of TopSider, has led me to this shoe. These slip-ons can be worn in the summer with any length pants and in the winter around the house instead of the several pairs of bedroom shoes I've got. Since I already have an identical pair of shoes to wear in the spring, I bought this pair knowing I will already have a pair I had previously purchased elsewhere. Since the price is so low, and I know I will need to replace them in about two years (this is about how long my current pair lasts) and I always worry they won't make Original TopSider anymore, I did not hesitate to buy. I haven't even tried them on yet, since my last couple pairs have been 8 1/2 Wide just like these and I know how they fit exactly. Here's where it gets good.
