The height of my body is 5'4" and the weight is 245 lbs. In general, I prefer the 4X since I do not like them too short with a saggy crotch. As long as I pull them up far enough, the waistband is at my belly instead of being indented at my waistline. I think the 5'4" to 5'10" with weight up to 260 is about the 3X size, and it would most likely fit me as well.
