Not going to lie, I didn't love these as much as I thought they would and was embarrassed when giving these as gifts to my bridesmaids, maid of honor, and the mother of the bride-groom. Although these totes are cute and pretty, and I was especially enchanted by the gold lettering given that my colors for my wedding are burgundy and gold, I cannot accept the awful smell that they emit. It is so helpful that I ordered these way in advance to try to find a way to get rid of the odor. There is a strong smell of moldy wet towel on them, and I'm afraid to put them in the washer because I do not know how durable they will be. For a few hours, I let the bags air dry in the sun. The smell is now faint but still detectable. It may be possible to spray a little febreeze over the gold letters and let it air dry in the sun again a few hours, but I'm afraid that this will result in fading. However, I read the reviews complaining about the moldy smell and still ordered the product thinking maybe they were unlucky, which does not appear to be the case considering that it is a common complaint and there is no fix for it. You may be able to tell me if anyone has has successfully washed the dish without ruining it or if they know a solution to get rid of the smell.
As a general note, I think it's a very cute bag that would be a great gift for a bridal party (considering I got it for a bridal).
