You cannot remove the handle on the smaller side.

It's a little tight, can you put the purse's smaller handle over your shoulder or is it manageable?

It's possible, but I prefer carrying it that way because it feels more comfortable on my forearm.

I like it a lot. One or two of my Kate Spade bags belong to me. The one I will be most excited about is this one. There is ample space, but it isn't overly crowded.
I was pleasantly surprised by the color of the carnation.
