As an older person who has arthritis in his hands, I can only wear these types of clips. They are my favorite kind. As you don't need to be concerned about holding on to the earring back, they're so comfortable and easy to put on. Despite the fact that this particular pair is one of my favorites, I'm not sure the size would be appropriate for overnight wear since the shoes are so thin.
