On the back, they became dimmer. My ears became infected as a result of this. These are easy to keep clean. They have a lustrous sheen to them that lasts for days. They're far superior to the majority of silver studs.

These aren't your typical "button" studs

"Sterling Silver Button Ball Stud Earrings (8imm)" was the title of these earrings when I bought them. I couldn't tell if they were buttons or rounds based on the picture (buttons would have a flattened back to sit better against the earlobe), so I took a chance. They're balls, to be sure, and because they're 8mm, they stand out oddly. I'm not going to bother returning them, but I'm not going to wear them either.
