Questions & Answers
Yes, I'm a fan of these studs.
That is not the case.
These have been in my possession for about three or four months. I'm not sure about the rest of them, but the 5mm I'm wearing hasn't corroded or peeled as far as I can tell. I've even dropped them a couple of times, but they're fine. However, be cautious when purchasing these--they're expensive. You can see my review for these here; they sent me one 6mm and three 5mm earring, so if you don't mind mixing sizes, this is the pair for you.

These black stud earrings are adorable. They're a little smaller than I expected, but I'm pleased with my purchase overall. You'll receive 5 pairs in various sizes. The tiniest is the size of a dot, while the largest is the size of a small pea. You'll also get a small black bag to keep them in if you want to. I've had them in my ears for about three days and find them to be quite pleasant. I can even sleep in them without any discomfort; I was worried that because they aren't real sterling silver, they would hurt, but that hasn't been the case. Stainless steel is used in their construction. As of yet, the black enamel hasn't peeled away like it has in some cases. These aren't the earrings for you if you're looking for large ball earrings. These are small but very cute, especially for the price.
Approved for Metal Sensitivebr>I am hypersensitive to alloys. Nickel is present in even the tiniest amounts in these blends. Wearing titanium and niobium causes me discomfort. Both have been recommended as viable options. Gold is not my favorite color, and I am unable to wear it. As a result, I have to be extra cautious when purchasing earrings, and I seem to do better with hooks and hoops than studs for some reason. When I buy earrings, I usually have to manually replace the hook that will penetrate my lobe (because I have a bag-shaped lobe). brimming with jewelers needle-nose pliers, surgical steel hooks, and a pair of needle-nose pliers pliers for the nose). However, because I, like many others, have multiple piercings, I like to mix and match my earrings and wanted a set of simple studs that would pass the overnight test with my older holes, as I was able to wear them all day and sleep in them with no irritation (itching, reddening, or swelling). I can't speak for my newer holes (by which I mean ones that are less than 10 years old and have always had issues). They start to become a little mushy. I can at least wear them during the day in those without issue, as long as I take them off before bedtime, and I would highly recommend them to anyone with sensitivity issues. They're inexpensive, and I like that they're available in a variety of sizes. I'm debating whether or not to order a second set.
These earrings are simple, but they are stunning. My ears are extremely sensitive. Otherwise, my ears will itch and turn red if I don't use 316L steel. I've purchased these a few times because I frequently lose them when I take them out. Although I only use the smallest three, having all five is nice. Overall, I haven't had any issues with them. I do get a small reaction if I put them in my ears right out of the bag, but that goes away with soap and water.
They were also purchased to replace sterling silver earrings that tarnished quickly. These were delivered quickly, were well-packaged (though some of the mini zipper bags were difficult to open, and I have small hands), and are attractive! I've been wearing them since I received them, and they have not bothered my piercings (my ears are quite sensitive), nor have they tarnished. I'm a swimmer, and in February I went to the pool six days a week, so that should be proof that they don't tarnish.
For what you get, these five pairs of steel earrings are a good value. I saw one pair for nearly the same price as the other five. I bought these for my almost 4-year-old daughter to replace her piercing earrings (which are also surgical or stainless steel) because they were too small. I assumed she'd been pierced with the tiniest of piercings - 2mm - However, after receiving them, I realized that 2mm is probably the maximum size for a 6 month old's piercing. My daughter has 3mm piercing earrings, so when she's ready to replace them, I'll give her the 4mm. Right now, I'm wearing the 5mm, which are the perfect size for my lobes. Overall, this is a nice set that is ideal for people who have multiple ear piercings. br>br>*****UPDATED*****
This review has been updated after 5 years! This is one of the Amazon purchases that I've kept for a long time. I've been wearing these earrings every day for the past 5 years, and they've never tarnished, never given me an allergic reaction, and have never given me an infection. My daughter has had no problems wearing the smaller sizes. They're at 4mm in this picture. Sizes up to 3mm.
My ears become red, irritated, and infected if I wear anything other than stainless steel or titanium. Round ball studs are my go-to style because they're easy to clean and don't get snagged on anything; this deal includes five pairs. Each one is different in size and color, and they're all a beautiful shade of blue. Only three sizes were suitable for me, so I gave the remaining two pairs to a friend. It's still a bargain for the price! One of the pairs had a sharp sliver of metal or something that splintered up near the ball, so I didn't give it five stars. I was successful in accomplishing my goal. It came off smoothly and did not leave any splinters behind, so I tried it on and it worked fine; however, I thought it was worth mentioning; otherwise, nice earrings, lovely color, sturdy and scratch resistant. I'd buy them again if the opportunity presented itself.
These appeal to me, but they do not appeal to my ears. My ears were in excruciating pain as a result of them. It makes me wonder if they are truly stainless steel or if there is some metal in them. They should have worked out, in my opinion. So, if your sensitivity is high, as mine appears to be, I would advise you to stay away. They looked great and were a great deal, but they didn't work out for me.
These would most likely be ideal for someone who does not have an earring allergy. Because the description stated that they were nickel-free, I purchased them. I bought both the blue and black sets because they were both free and hypoallergenic. When I first put them in, I had a severe allergic reaction. If you have any allergies, you should avoid these and instead purchase something else.
