Yes and no; I wore mine on Easter Sunday. I wore nude underwear because I thought it was see-through below the waist. My mother and sister are They were unable to see through it, according to the law. We were, however, inside. The area around the bus stop is completely opaque. You'll probably be able to see the light through it if you're outside.
I believe an XL would be sufficient. My height and weight are 5'9" and 185 pounds, respectively. I'm about 190 pounds and purchased a size Large. It's long enough for me to wear down to my ankles (I have a hard time finding clothes that are long enough for me). It will be shorter in the front with a 9-month belly. However, I'm assuming you'll be wearing it after the baby arrives. If you're not pregnant and plan on wearing it postpartum, you'll probably want a Large, but the bodice is stretchy, so you might like the XL as well. As a side note, it is not nursing friendly. There isn't enough stretch in the neck.
I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS DRESS! True- light in weight, ideal for warmer climates; However, with a blazer/jacket and coordinating tights/leggings, you've got an all-in-one outfit. outfit for the season! I'm a size 12 "curvy" woman. I'm 14 years old, and this dress emphasizes my 'assets' while concealing my 'tummy issues!' I'll be ordering a few more in various colors! AWESOME new addition to your wardrobe!
It's smocked, to be sure.

It's a great fit and feels great. It also looks and feels great as a maternity dress, despite the fact that it isn't labeled as such. I would strongly suggest it. And if the seller releases more colors, particularly light blue or peach, I'll be the first in line to buy them all. br>br>Edited to add: I bought more colors and I'm still pleased with them! This time, I went with an XS (as seen in the photos), and it's perfect! The S, on the other hand, was fantastic; it's stretchy and allows for a lot of movement. Get it! It's the most comfortable dress you'll ever wear; I can't say enough good things about it! It's light and airy but not see-through at the same time. I adore you, and I adore you, and I adore you, and I I bought all of the colors that were available in my size and now I need more:.
All four were purchased by me. This summer, you'll be wearing them. My arms swell from lymph node and breast surgery, so I never wear short sleeves, but this dress is amazing!.
It was incredible when I first received this dress in the mail. It was the ideal length and fit flawlessly. It shrank 3 inches after just ONE WASH! It used to be at my ankle, but now it's in the middle of my shin, which isn't very flattering. It has also shrunk in other places, and it is no longer flowy or flattering. I didn't even give it a chance to dry. It's not even close to being worth $40.
When I first put this on, I was overjoyed. I'm 5'5" and weigh 150 pounds, so I went with a large because I wanted it to be loose and flowy. It hits just above the tops of my feet (so it's not too short - see below), and it's perfect! If I haven't shaved my hairy ankles, I don't have to show them off! ) and the top is fine (if a tad too big for my petite chest). I could go down to a M (my usual size), but my FUPA would most likely show through. If I'm wearing a sleeved maxi dress, I'm probably bloated, haven't shaved, or am otherwise uninterested in wearing all of my cute little summer dresses. However, I still want to put on something nice. This is ideal for those days when you just don't feel like doing anything. It's very light, but I put it to the test with black slacks and gave it a thumbs up. up for the green color (which isn't visible) through)! I'm not crazy about the other colors, but I'm planning on getting another because I like the smocked top and long length.
This dress is absolutely stunning! It's elegant and modest, and it's ideal for church, a wedding, brunch, maternity, post-baby, or any other occasion. With high heels and my height of 5'2", it just hits the ground beautifully. I wore it on a hot summer day, and it was light and breezy enough that I didn't overheat! Unlike some of the other dresses I've received, this one wasn't wrinkled at all. With booties in the fall and winter, and a denim jacket or blazer in the spring and summer, I can wear this all year.
That was, of course, a blunder. It shrank a lot the first time I washed it. Well, that was my fault, I reasoned. The next one will be washed by hand. I bought a second one, and the back seam came apart the next day. Maybe I ripped it by stepping on the hem by accident? I bought it for the THIRD time (oh, the things we do for dresses we adore). ) and the back seam has come apart yet again; whelp, what a costly and epic life lesson this has been. What a pity, because I really like the burnt orange hue.
