In the XL it hit 1" in length, I bought an XXL and it fit perfect The height of my knees is 2 inches above the kneecap. In contrast, it was more a loose empire waist than sitting on my true waist. I am now trying a smaller size to see if it makes any difference. A size XL had a bottom length of 39 inches from the top of the neck to the bottom of the dress.
