I spent seven years in upstate New York and believe this coat would be ideal for commuting. Even in the dead of winter in Spokane, WA, I still wear a knit hat and gloves. The wind, on the other hand, does not penetrate the fabric even on the coldest days. For a few dollars more, I went with the lined version, which I highly recommend. It's long enough to cover my thighs all the way to my knees (5'5"). This product has exceeded my expectations!
The fabric is cheap and unattractive, the buttons are uneven, and the seams are unfinished. Buttons are missing, and the arm strap has unraveled due to its absence. Purchases should be avoided.
BUY THIS COAT AT YOUR OWN RISK! I placed an order for a size 2X. The coat had a 4X label on it. It was actually a size 12 or so. The firm refused to respond to my request for a response.
It comes in a small size. The fabric is cheap and unattractive, the buttons are uneven, and the seams are unfinished. Buttons are missing, and the arm strap has unraveled due to its absence. Purchases should be avoided.

I like the hood and the style, but only if it was the correct shape. I figured I could fix it by redoing the buttons because one row was off and the jacket looked lopsided. Instead of making an effort and returning the jacket, I saved time and effort. br>The fabric was the weight of a light pea coat, but it looked more like polar fleece than felted wool. This leads me to believe it's a wool/synthetic mix, if not entirely synthetic. Finally, despite being a dress size 8, I chose a large because I have broad shoulders, only to find that the jacket was too tight across the upper back and the sleeves were too short.
I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so because I haven't experienced such excellent customer service in a long time, and they appear to genuinely care about their clients. I would strongly suggest it. It's a warm coat that also happens to look great! Gabrielle.
I'm too angry to leave a review.
After three months of use, three of my buttons have fallen off, my pockets have holes, and three of my seams are ripped. I went to see if I could get it replaced, but there was no way back.
I recently purchased this coat, and I adore it. It's thick and warm, and the length is just right. I purchased an xl, which allows me to wear a sweater underneath. It has a formal and informal feel to it. It's a fantastic find for the price!.
This coat is quite nice. I'm 5'2" and weigh about 110 pounds, so I'm pretty small framed, and I got the small size. One of the buttons popped off right after I put it on for the first time, so make sure the buttons are reinforced. Aside from that, it's very stylish and warm, but not overly so.
This coat is fantastic, and I'm glad I purchased it. It's thick and warm without being too heavy, and it's incredibly soft. It's a lot more comfortable than I had anticipated. I'm used to things not fitting perfectly because I'm tall and have a large frame, but this is wide enough in the shoulders, large enough in the upper sleeves, and long enough to cover my navel.
I'm usually a medium or small, standing at 5'3 and weighing between 125 and 150 pounds. 130 lbs. I chose a padded medium size. It actually fits perfectly and is quite substantial! As others have mentioned, the buttons are a little difficult to get into the holes, but if one pops off, you can always sew it back on. The hood is a good size and has a flip to keep things from rolling off your face. This is a good length. I wish it was a little slimmer, but given that it's for winter and has enough room for a sweater, it's fine. It might not fit my armpits if I wear it any smaller.
