Questions & Answers

Is this an item that can be submerged in water?

For my trip to England, I bought these boots, and they kept my socks dry! The boot has a soft upper and a sturdy bottom. I'd suggest it.

What is the height of the heel?

One inch

Ariat boots are a size 8 for me, but I wear a size 8 in other shoes. What size should I buy for tennis shoes if I'm a size 5?

I used my tennis shoe size, which was spot on, and I wore riding (thick) socks. I wore these all day and forgot I was wearing boots because they were so comfortable. Great for riding; when I wore these boots, everyone thought I was a pro rider. It was my first time, so I hope that this information is useful. It all depends on how tight you like your socks to be and how thick they are. 5 or 9. Cleaning is a breeze.

For a beginner boot, this is a good buy
3/5

If you only want them to last 6 months, this is the way to go. Everything that was advertised is included in this package. They fit true to size and are mostly comfortable, though the zipper is a little difficult to operate. They're more comfortable with thicker socks, but zippering them is a nightmare! They're made of "plastic" rather than leather, and the difference can be felt rather than seen, as they look great. For short walks or work, they are more than adequate. UPDATE: I've had them for exactly a year and they're completely worn out; I only use them for riding. Dog walks are short and sweet. EARLY IN THE MORNING FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES DURING THE SUMMER - We also have long winters. So, in total, I'd say they were used for about 6 months. I wasn't riding very often, maybe once or twice a month. If you want something that will last, don't buy it. I bought Dublin real leather paddock boots, and they are fantastic. Look for items that are on sale.

Genuine leather is preferred over synthetic leather
3/5

I bought these to muck out stalls because they were synthetic and I didn't want to ruin my good boots, which are too hot in the summer for my wellies. When I tried them on, I knew they were a no-no right away. I think I'm spoiled by my custom tall boots and Ariat paddock boots, and the synthetic leather was too much for me. They fit true to size, and the price is ideal if you're new to riding and aren't sure if you'll like it - However, if you plan to stay longer than 6 months, I would save my money for a good pair of real leather boots. I eventually settled on a pair of leather, water-resistant women's logger boots with a gel slip-in footbed.

It's very relaxing
5/5

I'm a picky shoe buyer who prefers higher-end brands, but I needed a pair of riding boots for a weekend horse camp and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I ordered these and another pair that was similar in price but a different brand, and I found these to be less stiff and more comfortable. I could feel where they had rubbed my heels a little after wearing them for an entire day, but I didn't get any blisters. I'm very pleased with these for the price. My daughter had the same pair, but in a smaller size, and she liked them just as much as I did. She has wide feet, so finding shoes that fit her is difficult, but she found these to be very comfortable.

Well-made boots that are both comfortable and stylish
5/5

I started wearing these boots after a 35-year hiatus from serious riding. As an older, weaker rider, I found them to be very comfortable paddock boots, but they did not provide me with enough ankle support. They appear to be of good quality, and I'm sure I'll be able to put them to good use as time goes on.

If it was made for women with ankles, it would be a fantastic riding boot
3/5

It's a well-made product, but it's not designed for people with ankles. My ankles aren't particularly thick, and I've tried two different boots that won't zip up past the top of my foot. My daughter, my mother-in-law, my niece, and my neighbors' two daughters are also unable to do so. The foot and sole, on the other hand, are extremely comfortable.

This is something I strongly suggest
5/5

I've been wearing these boots to every one of my horseback riding classes and they haven't let me down. I was skeptical because of the negative reviews, but these boots do the job if you're just teaming or looking after the stables. I've been showering horses for a long time and have never had any water in my boot. I'm happy with my purchase, and they're actually quite comfy. I haven't had any problems with the zipper.

Beginners will enjoy this
4/5

My daughter has only recently taken up horseback riding as a hobby. For her lessons, she needed something simple, and this fits the bill. She wears a size 9 in sneakers and this paddock boot is the same size. She claims that the boot is comfortable to wear and that it works well for her lessons. It's obvious that this is a basic boot with no frills. I believe I would get her a sturdier boot if she did more serious riding and worked around the stalls.

I should've used laces instead
3/5

I bought these for my 10-year-old son because I couldn't find a pair for him in his size, and he is quite tall. Also, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on boots that he would quickly outgrow. Regardless, they do the job, but their tops are narrow. We zipped them, which I didn't think we'd be able to do. He hasn't expressed any dissatisfaction with the pain they have caused him. They're stretching out a little, but zipping them still takes a team effort. br>I wish I'd chosen a lace-up boot.
