I bought this skirt for the golf course and it fits perfectly; I'm 5'6" and weigh 135 pounds, and my legs are long. I purchased a medium, which is perfect! I could have gotten away with a small, but the medium fits my hips perfectly without being too tight. The sizing is accurate.
I mean, I've tried every single one and have a hundred of them. I wear them to the gym, and I run long distances in them. This was purchased with the intent of running in mind. I normally wear a small, but after reading the reviews and looking at the photos, I decided to go with the medium. This has a slight a-line cut to it. The best part about it is how well it fits. It adheres to the body's lines without being too tight or bulky. It's a silky smooth fabric that glides over running tops without bunching or grabbing. The attached shorts are smooth and provide just the right amount of support; they don't tug or ride up. You can simply forget about your clothes and run in complete comfort - This is especially true on the hottest days of the year. It has a cute little mesh detail on the side that adds to the skirt's nice lines, and I ordered two more white and two black because it's my new summer sports go-to. It has no tangles or binds, is ultra slimming, and has no bulk. Because it is short, it is not suitable for thigh coverage. This is something I'll never be without for summer/gym workouts; well done, Penn!.
Except. It appeals to me. With the exception of the price, the fabric is thin and appears to be short-lived. I'll either hand wash or put it in the delicates basket. However, it fits perfectly and is extremely comfortable. Remember that you get what you pay for, and I believe this should cost between $10 and $15. Because of the fabric used and the impression that it lacks long-term durability. I'm 5'8", 148 pounds, and have wide hips, so the medium was perfect for me.
This skort is perfect for me because I am 5'5" and 130 pounds, with a athletic build, small hips, and strong thighs. The skort is on the shorter side and has a nice taper to it. The shorts underneath aren't too tight and don't ride up in the slightest. I can't say enough good things about this skort! If you're on the fence about buying it, go ahead and do it.
This was purchased for a golf tournament and performed admirably. It was a little short, but that was to be expected from me. I'm a healthy 5'8" guy. meaty. So I was aware that the length might be an issue, but it all worked out! Moving around in these was pretty comfortable because the shorts underneath were a perfect fit and not too tight like I've had with other tennis skirts. It washed and dried without a hitch. If I find myself in need of more pairs, I'd buy them again! It'd be nice if there were a wider range of colors to choose from.
The skirt is quite short due to the high waist - Which I don't mind, but it'll be far too short for the majority of people. The fabric is very stretchy. Lunging for balls and general athletic functionality are made much easier with shorter skirt lengths. The miniature "key" pocket in the waist has no way of closing or zipping shut, so there's no functional storage in the skirt. I really wish the shorts had a pocket for a cell phone or tennis ball, like many of the other competitors' shorts do, and I'm not sure I'd spend $25 on a skirt like this again when a quality skirt with zipper storage and a phone/tennis ball pocket in the shorts would cost $10 more.
Instead of listening to reviews about sizing up, I should have ordered according to my size. It is, however, extremely comfortable, and as a result, I have ordered more! While on vacation in Costa Rica, I wore this a couple of times. It's light, dries quickly, and is suitable for a variety of activities, including hiking and canyoneering. Since then, I've worn it while running and it feels great; it's not as constricting as other athletic skirts, and the shorts aren't too short. Bonus - It's also very cute! It's a great fit. This does as much work for my booty as yoga pants! I have an hourglass figure with heavy hips and thicker thighs, and I usually wear a size 4 to 6. It also doesn't appear that you're wearing workout gear, so you could easily wear it for a casual outfit. Overall, this was a fantastic purchase.
This running skort is the most comfortable thing I've ever worn while running. It doesn't limit your stride, feels like pure comfort, and wicks away moisture. It's flattering and just the right amount of coverage for a 56-year-old. In this, I ran sprints. I intend to purchase every color in my size that is available.
