In exchange for the medium, I found it to be too baggy in the midsection and not as flattering as it originally looked. Although the length was better, I preferred the content. However, I didn't quite figure out how to make the strings hang properly on either side. As soon as I cinched the skirt, it was much cuter, but the material flared out in the larger size because of the knots vs bows. It wasn't a good fit for me ultimately.
