Having just measured mine, the inseam measures 5". They are awesome shorts, and I own three pairs, however they would be too long if you were looking for a short with a 3" inseam.
There are a lot of loose threads in them, so they are probably going to Biking with them has never been my thing. They still make a great addition to the house!

Even though I'm out and moving for at least an hour a day, I'm gaining weight like crazy since it isn't my normal workout. Also, there have been a few too many baking activities with little people.
