It's loose and boxy. It seemed too loose fitting and boxy when I first tried it on. In fact, I was going to return it, but since it wasn't prime, I didn't want to pay for its It is something I keep and get compliments every time I am wearing it. The jersey fabric is like a light weight sweatshirt material, with a red shade that is such a dramatic contrast to the khaki. The fabric is easy to wash. It is a medium for my height and weight, which is 5 ft, 124 lbs. The smaller size will fit you better if you don't want a loose fit.
