NO, it does not have a clear pocket for cards. I ordered the dark grey one. It is, however, easy to access whatever card or ID you select to use with the thumb slot. Here is what I hope will help

I have six cards — including my drivers license — in it. My wallet has five slots. As soon as I travel, I will add another card so I will have seven total cards, which means that two of the slots will have two cards each. There's probably no limit to how many cards you can fit in a slot. This holds five snugly, but not normally. The product can be put in your pocket upside down and you won't lose anything. It has been years since I got wallets with removable license holders, and I have only used the license holder.
