While this answer is probably too late for the OP, if anyone else wonders about this, here is what I can tell you Shawls made of chiffon silk are very sheer -- If you prefer something lighter, you could check out Dana Xu's wool shawls, which are made from a lightweight wool that drapes beautifully. A very large scarf is also included in the package- You should check the dimensions and illustrations to determine if this is even the right size for you. Regarding the "fringe," it can be purchased separately or, if you are patient and a good knotter, it can even be made yourself.
The green04 looked good in the picture, so I ordered it. As you can see in the picture (blue), the one I got looks exactly like the one pictured. My order was mislabeled green04, and I was unaware of this when I placed it. As a result, I got a blue with a peachy pink accent, as I saw and wanted.
It appears there are two kinds of shawls offered by Dana Xu. The silky one is silky, while the wooly one is woolly. There is no difference in size, both are very big. There are tons of patterns available for them both. Those that are silky say 100% silk in the label, and look lighter and sheerer in the pictures. In the photo above, the blue one looks like a silky one. Don't pay attention to what's being said about pashminas. It is the second of each type I own and I love it.

A beautiful piece of art that is Silk has a high shine and this fabric has a matte finish. Till now, I have found it hard to find silk of the same quality! My favorite part of the scarf is that although it was not the scarf I ordered, I'm really enjoying Upon receiving the first one, I ordered a second one to give as a gift. The fabric is luxurious, the colors are bright, and the size is very generous.
Feels great and looks exactly like it does in the picture. The day will soon come when I can wear this. This item looks like it's worth much more.
The trip is well worth the money. It's a quality scarf that brings life and style to any outfit, goes with everything, and I can't seem to wear it without receiving When traveling, you can carry it with you as sunscreen on the beach, it is long enough to wrap a few times, and it is very warm when it is cold outside. That would be one of those perfect scarves.
