I live in Florida, where nothing stays cool sometimes, and the material is soft and cool to the touch! It definitely didn't pose any problems to me in terms of breathing. Due to the design of the top being too tight for my big head, I had to give it to my niece, who has a teenage size 17. Those are not exaggerations on my part. She was in the 25th percentile of her weight for her head and in the 90th percentile for birth weight. I was worried until the doctor measured my head and said, oh never mind it runs in the family. I think someone with an average head would enjoy this. My niece is 16 and she loves it.

It is too tight for adults, only fits children

They fit only the children in the family and are too tight. Since the rubber band is not very elastic, even though the head size is average, it is too tight to fit an adult male head. It was nearly impossible to get the gaiter over his head once we got it on. There is a noticeable difference between how it looks and how it fits.

Not suitable for adults due to its size

The product for kids is wonderful but the size is too small for adults. Your nose would drown in it but I tried stretching it out as far as I could and it was just too small. I'm on vacation and I can't even use it back home after I get back.

Due to its manufacturing process in China, the garment fits small. The cheaper camo gaiter will make no difference. Save $5 and get the cheaper one instead. Advertising that is deceptive. Right there on the packaging of the product is the claim that it's made in China however, their product advertising does not mention this. The only thing they are pushing is Scandinavian.
