Maroon/Gold is available at our store. In fact, they are not the same color as Cardinal is more on the red side of the spectrum.
The scarf is a regular (long) acrylic scarf There is no chill in the air. A thick wool coat or a cashmere coat would be more comfortable, but not as warm. The scarf keeps my kids warm in the winter, and they wear it occasionally. For the most part, it is just for dressing up -

To go with my son's Harry Potter costume, I bought a scarf and hat. Today was the day I received my package. As a Harry Potter fan, I just wanted to bring to the attention of other Harry Potter lovers that the Maroon and Gold colors do not look good together. Having read other reviews, I expected them to be the same.
This scarf was actually made by the uncle in the family that made the kids' costumes, and it really complemented the Gru look he was going for. The scarf arrived the day Funcle had to travel - so there was no problem. However, we ordered a "back up" order to be delivered to our vacation home because there was some uncertainty about the arrival date (it would be nice if those delivery dates could be tightened up a bit). Sadly, we were hit by a Tropical Storm, so they weren't able to get the second one, but we got this shot before the storm struck.
This was purchased as a gift for my 9 year old daughter who loves Harry Potter. turned out to be better than expected, and she was thrilled! I love that it's soft and looks just like the one in the movie - and I think it's She really likes what it is doing for her (it is almost her waist long when it is tied), but she is also extremely happy which is why it's going to work well for her during the winter.
It is a very nice scarf of a high quality. Soft and thick, it will keep you warm for a long time. I found the length to be ideal for my husband who is a fairly large man. We have a daughter who is going to steal the scarf from him because it is so nice! I bought this in order for him to be Gru for Halloween and it is going to be TOTALLY ADORABLE!.
Its color is very bright, it is soft to touch, and it features a weave pattern that is neither too coarse nor too fine, so it can be worn casually or dressed up. This scarf really pops with a black jacket. I bought it with the intention to pair it with a red and white jacket. Although it is long (69 inches), it is still a good buy. When you are a male, a long overcoat will work. If you're tall or if your overcoat is longer than your suit jacket, you should be fine. If you're a woman, long scarves never go out of style so you are good to go! There is a very neat feature of the scarf, since it is sewn normally along its length, so rather than having to fold and adjust to get it to lay nicely, this one is permanently folded and sewed down, so all you have to do is chuck I love it! And looks chic on Bert as well!.
Amazon didn't have every Harry Potter scarf that I wanted, but I ordered every one they had! The quality of this is above and beyond what I expected! Amazing! The scarf is great. There is a good length and a thick texture. You won't believe it, but the colors seem to be the same as those in This is not the case, but a child may easily confuse the two. The kids are being silly.
